Sony DVP-K82P with DivX Cert
« on: Jul 11, 2005 at 08:55 PM »
Bought it for 5900. Was promised it would play all dvds and all MPEG-4 formats.
Its a new sony program daw. Di na raw mapili sa dvd. Will play everything daw sabi ng salesman or my money back.
I bought it and dicovered it doesnt play Xvids. What a dissapointment.
Will return the unit soon for a refund.

Will check out the Fukuda, Philips and Samsung Divx compatible units.
Any recommendations for an Xvid compatible one?

I returned the Sony DVP-K82P to Automatic Center without any hassle
I brought my DivX/ XviD Cds this time to check playability with other players with DIVX cert

these are the units that i checked out

Fukuda with Divx - 2 store units One had the fukuda logo installed upside down
Xenon with Divx - Played for 30 sec then paused permanently PHP 3600
Philips with Divx - Played Xvids flawlessly  Php6800,       Downside  no optical out
Pioneer DV 676A-s - Played Xvids Flawlessly Php 8990, with optical out

I went home with the Pioneer 676A-S

Uy! I was checking this SONY player out kanina and was intrigued by the DiVX logo on it. Was DVD player-hunting kanina from Ortigas, to Makro Cubao and to SM Cubao.

Scratch this SONY player na from the list since di pala kaya DiVX.

I saw a Samsung DiVX player that has a multi-card feature too. May nakabili na ba nito? 6.9K price nya.

Yung isa pang target ko is the 4.9 or 4.7K na LG DiVX player. Yun lang, di ko alam kung region free na ito.  Would anyone like to comment on this player.

Can anyone tell me what to buy? Thanks peeps. Would really appreciate the help. :)
