Y-Pb-Pr Connections in Projectors
« on: Jul 13, 2005 at 05:59 PM »
Hi! Am planning to buy a projector but I noticed the Y-Pb-Pr input plug looks like a PC-In monitor plug, rather than the 3-RCA plug of a TV.

- Are there any 3-RCA -> PC-In converters for this? (since most of my devices use component input cables using 3-rca plugs)
- Is there any degredation during this conversion?

Thanks!

like some toshiba dlp"s, they use their d15 input in conjunction with their component input. If you read the manual , there is a illustration what pin are used for the component input. I tried to look for such cable locally but to no avail. They are available at Ebay though. Maybe you could slice a component cable and a vga vable and find the right pins as provided by the manual.

It desn't apply to all projectors.

One exception i know of is infocus x1. They even sell cable on line.

You can buy this cable at projector world sm city.
