Even if the reviews I read from the Internet are very good for Revenge Of the Sith, I'm still holding on to buy these coz I'm waiting for the ultimate release of the six movie pack...

It's not the same movie, it's more than just inserting a few extra scenes unlike other cheezy director's cut title. This version is much better than the theatrical release. The movie is darker, grittier and more violent (now an R rating). Character development is better on this one. They also took out some scenes.

Batman Begins- Somehow i am doubting why they sell new DVD titles cheap? What's the catch? Guess i am just annoyed with Christian Bale's lisp.

I remember the R3 release of Hitch with the P499 version and the P895 version. What gives???

Same here. specially Harry Potter. I really couldnt grasp why it became popular.

I couldnt appreciate it as well, I fell almost fell asleep watching some of the Harry Potter movies.

nirvb, if the 2 versions of Hitch bothered you, guess what? there are 3 versions of Kung Fu Hustle available in the market.

i only buy oscar best pictures.

but, right now, i don't want to buy the Braveheart and Patton dvd even though it's about php700. i was hesitating to buy the Titanic dvd before because it lacks special features. and now i'm glad i didn't buy that. a new special edition is out, and that's the one i want.

Right there xeqtionr! It is just the local dvd market telling us what you pay is what you get.....kinda discriminatory in a sense

i see where you're coming from. i also think that its a lousy marketing strategy to sell cheap DVDs by producing at cheaper quality. while other countries are coming up with "CE's - Collector's Edition's; LE's - Limited Edition's; DE's Deluxe Edition's and UE's Ultimate Edition's" our distributors are coming up with GCE's - Garbage Collector's Edition

i'd never buy Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, Pearl Harbour... and Ms Congeniality 1 & 2 + soundtrack boxset eventhough its currently down to 475 from 895 (but i may consider buying it to give away as a gift if the price goes down to 299).

ah yes, Viva and Warner, 2 of the best distributors in the local market. how i wish all distributors would take after Warner for its excellent quality and pricing.

Actually, yan din yung titles na iniiwasan kong kunin, but eventually binili ko din.

King Kong 2 disc SE... hintay na lang for the inevitable extended edition.

get it na.. prices are falling naman. chances are, the new cut would be totally different from the current release. i believe all collectors must have gotten this series now.

good film, good dvd release, fair extras. DTS!
