I was in a search for a portable DVD player but most of the ones I've seen really doesn't fulfill my expectations.  The ones which I liked with great DVD resolution were the expensive ones like the Pioneers and Panasonic which was way over my budget until I stumbled into this....

COBY TF-DVD7050 Portable DVD Player

I was astounded with the resolution it had on display.  With the price that fit my budget, I tried my discs: DVD (orig R1,R2,R3,R4, P-DVD which won't play in my Pioneer DVD player), MP3s, VCDs, burned CD-R/CD-RW, JPEG files and it played everything flawlessly.  It had a 1 year warranty so I have been playing different DVDs with it even my wife's Korean DVDs and played everything without a hitch.  The fully charged battery life would last for 2 DVD movies straight.  The resolution is great compared to the other portable DVD players (Protone, Dai-ichi, Super, Nextbase, etc) in this price range. The outward appearance is an elegant black not el cheapo looking. I'm in love with this player hope it exceeds my expectations.  ;D  I am still in the process of using this thing so hopefully all problems would come out before the warranty expires.

For those looking for a portable DVD player, this might just make you affirm your decision in buying one.   ;)

i was planning to buy one and use it to play ps2 in the car, but i don't think it have a video/audio input.

Bought one Coby TF-DVD7380 today. :D

Electronics Boutique Main (Makati)

028990102
028955212
09178843360

-had mine serviced here. The motor spindle broke coz I forced a DVD one time tapos di naman naka-center doon sa hub.   Matagal lang specially if there is a need to replace some parts.

The battery of my Coby DVD7050 presently does not last more than 15 mins after a full charge. Considering that I have used it extensively for nearly 2 years, I think it has served its purpose well.

Good thing the replacement battery is available at Electronics Boutique for P2500.

Coby has a new model, one that can read Divx codecs, that has a usb and SD slot, goes for 6.9K at the Electronics Boutique store.

This model seems to be the same as that of the Xenon model which is a bit pricey at 7.9K.

i have a question: magagamit kaya yun kung brownout at ikabit sa cable? may cable ba pag brownout?

Yes, you can as long as the Cable company still has power, unless the Luzon Brownout that occurred 2 or 3 years ago recur, you can still get your signals. ;D

Until now my Coby 7050 still works well.  I have mounted it in the front headrest of my car so the kids can watch at the backseat.  It is now powered through the lighter port.  Performance is still the same since I first bought it.  Reads a lot of my DVD-Rs.

There is a similar looking Coby tablet type DVD player selling at Ace Hardware for P4k+++.  Looks the same as the 7050.  Check it out.  ;)

Ako naman naka-bili sa Raon nang Coby A130...ehe...Cobyi-Cobyhan....4K lang...pero...

1) May TV tuner
2) May SD slot
3) May USB slot
5) May Nintendo games.

i think we have the same coby player, mine is black, same feature with the one you've mentioned, narealize ko lang na coby wannabe sya when i opened the package sa haus, but no regrets since feature packed sya, all dvds were read, usb, mem. card, though tuner depends on its antenna, if rabbit medyo mahina sya, pero pag outdoor malinaw, may games (300 nes games) contolled via usb, 7 inch rotating screen, been with me for 2 months and so far so good

For info lang sa mga interesado.  ;) ;D
