Here's my very first attempt (or struggle
) on making a simple router jig...
It's Rizal Day today so I took the holiday and grab a piece of scrap plywood...
I cut it in half and glue them together...
Glued the left side of the router guide/stop...
And then the right part... I didn't mind the gap as the router will remove it anyway...
Drilled some pocket holes to mount the bolt heads flushed...
And it fits just right...
Assembled the guide to the base...
I found that wing nuts are a darling to use in working with jigs...
Routed the center line and cut all the way through the base plywood...
I mounted a stop and made sure it is perfectly square with my routing line...
Tested on a piece of scrap wood and it works the way as it should...
And it's done... cleaned the edges and applied some wax so my router will slide smoothly...
This should help me do rabbet and half lap joints or maybe even dado whilst I still don't have a router table...
