hi...just purchase an almost hand me down Toshiba 55 RPTV (TN55v71) HDTV Ready

and right now im experiencing a problem...
"humihiwalay ang red and green

is this normal on RPTV since they need to be calibrated frequently?
is calibration the answer?
if yes how to calibrate RPTVs
can i DIY it?

I think you may have a problem with the convergence board .... pareho yan nong nangyari sa akin.. Paservice mo na..

san pwede pa service? nasa pampanga kasi ako...
do they make house calls? kasi i have no means of bringing it to manila...

also how much po ang damage ninyo sa service ng convergence board?

A guy named Eddie serviced mine 2 years back not sure if the number is still correct < i'll Pm you the number i got.. He does house calls , but pampanga kayo na lang magusap...

Cost ? Depends sa sira ... If convergence board sira mahal yun ...I was lucky , sa akin cold solder lang , but some parts got damaged.

Have you gone to the setup menu and see if that unit has auto-convergence?  If not, it surely has a manual convergence which you can manually align the 3 lights by yourself.  Either way, I think it's better if you call Toshiba and have them service your unit.
