Kaya yan. It would probably excel in HT w/ lots of detail, but might lack warmth in music.

Also try Onkyo or HK, IMHO they suit "bright" Missions perfectly, specially in music.

But if mostly for HT, go yamaha. I would still recommend a separate setup na lang for music.

already bought it sir Matz  ;D

Any owner of Mission M5C here? Alin mas maganda, Mission M5C or Mission 77C?
Mas maganda ba Mission M52 kaysa Mission M73i?
With too many options you could end up not choosing one

Oo naman, sa looks pa lang busog ka na sa M52. Sa tunog pa, lalo na 8)

If you have entry level receivers, go for the M73.

If you have top receivers & power amps, go for the M5's. They wont disappoint when they are well powered.

My setup last year: M52 bi-amped w/ HK 630 on the HF & Rotel 100w power amp on the LF. To date, I still consider it the most spectacular HT speakers for the money. Beats my current THX HT setup (sa HT lang ;D).

But remember : just like most mid level speakers: must be well powered...

Sir Matz

sufficient ba ung bada 2ch power amp + yammie 659 to power M34i?
sa tingin niyo ba manipis ang tunog?

Actually M34i has a very high sensitivity (92db), so to be honest, I would prioritize a good warm sounding CDp first (dami dyan mura sa SG!) if you are looking for "thicker" SQ for your Yammy via pure direct audio. Then maybe you can get a power amp after that if its not enough.

I would prioritize it this way cuz whatever happens, a good CDp will still be worth it any w/c way you look at it if you are into audio. Power amps can follow. But having both would bring a huge improvement to your setup!

Used to own a M34 before & the improvement was  :o :o when used w/ power amps.

But if you have power amps, FORGET the M34, get the M52! >:D >:D >:D

Cheers!  ;)

waahhhh temptation

I have actually done a few experiments w/ different (brand) center speakers & main speakers, I cant hear the difference :-\. BUT thats me.

hi KimosabE, i recommend if you pare it with a mid level AVR. mm52 is powered by 2 channel power amp connected to my yammy.

kaya bang i-drive ng HK 130 ito??? parang gusto kong mag Mission speaker in the future if budget permits na   :D and bagay ba Mission sa HK???

thanks guys.  :)

Kaya i drive naman ng entry level receivers ang Mid level speakers like the M5... but it will not sing to its full potential due to lack of power. At the very least, entry level receiver w/ pre outs + power amp is recommended. Pero best pa rin pag mga mid level receivers (better processors) or mid receivers + power amp.

If you notice, mid level speakers usually have lower sensitivity than their entry level counterparts. They need more power to sing well. But when they are well powered, they really sing better & are more refined than their entry level siblings.

Bagay na bagay Missions sa HK & Onkyo IMO.

hi,

just purchased the M73 (fronts) and the M7C1 center (Gaol, didn't realize that it had some problems but thanks for the heads up) , to go with my Onkyo 494.  any tips on how to optimize performance?  gaano katagal ang break-in?  and what exactly should i do to "break-in" a speaker?

i can't believe its been more than five years since i purchased my speakers. and up to now, i still don't have rear speakers or subs  ;D

wow! 5 years na!
