At present, there are 3 M-series: MV, M3x, and M6x. There is no more M5x series.

During those days, M5x series is considered the top of M series.

We are inviting everyone to audition the Mission on display at Sights and Sounds.

Mission MV series' design standards have reached to new height--a remarkable performance blends with appealing looks that raise the bar for entry-level speakers.

I agreed with guru! I hav mv-4 rightnow and it sound good, detailed just be careful lang sa positioning, if it's too close to walls, booomy. other than that. happy ako sa MV-4! Btw, i had my  wharfedale replace by a Mission:) :D so bka nga wharfedale killer na ang mission

 mike,

i havn't tried mv6 with HK avr or with any avr's. As for my son's 25 yr old Fisher amp, mv4 sound great, i presume the  mission floorstander will keep up to your expectations as it (mission) met mine!:)

For tube amplifier, we prefer speaker that can handle a bit more energy and drive. We suggest you try Klipsch RB10 which is selling at 12 months P11300. This speaker has sensitivity of 90db over Mission MV-4 which has 88db.

Klipsch RB10 communicates music message with superb detail and insight, ample harmonic richness and sweetness of treble.

Although remarkable value for money, Mission MV series speakers are made for challenging demands of the modern range of AV, DVD but less demanding music formats.

The Mission MV series are made for mass market audience who simply wants good sounds for both music and movie.

The Mission also has the high-end 79 series speakers, which are created for those who prefer peak-performance of stereo music. However, the bookshelf 790 is quite expensive, if you are to compare this with MV4.

That's why we recommend Klipsch RB10, which is cost effective and at the same time has the ability to deliver an exceptional, refined sound experience.

Nevertheless, listening to sound is a highly subjective experience. We find Klipsch RB10 to sing better than MV4.

Sir E-reply,

I got your pm. Thank you for the quote.

Will the M34i be a good match with a Marantz avr? or what would be the best avr (price range 20K to 30K PhP) to match the M34i? Listening preferences will be 50-50% movies/audio.

TIA

We do not have Marantz to evaluate the sound. However, if you read the many thread in this forum, the Mission is best preferred to match it with either Onkyo or Denon receivers. If your price range is 20 to 30K, you may consider the Onkyo TXSR506 at cash P19800. or Denon AVR1909 at cash P30600.

By the way, both above Onkyo and Denon are rated 5 stars by the What HiFi Magazine.

Check out the reviews of Onkyo 506 http://whathifi.com/Review/Onkyo-TX-SR506/
Denon AVR1909 http://whathifi.com/Review/Denon-AVR-1909/
