Topic: Request Opinion on Toshiba 50jh7uc 50"projection TV

Toshiba has on Promo the Toshiba 50" projection TV for 89K
for additional 8K you also get a Toshiba Model 29jz5te 29'Flat Screen TV(worth 24k separately).
Only comment on the model is it does not have PiP which we do not use anyway on our other sets

Searching the net for the toshiba 50jh7uc I can only find japanese pages.

my 2 cents opinion. The new models are series 9. The price of the 43 inch 2005 model should be around 80 to 85t. I am not sure if that is the 04 or 03 model. If ever you buy it, you have to be sure that it is not a display model. display models are at 100% contrast the whole day.

How important/valuable is a DVI connection for a new RPTV?

dvi or hdmi is important because it will preserve the digital signal from your digital source such as you r Dvd player. It will bypass the digital to analog conversion of your digital signal. In short less video noise and coloration.

I bought a Sony 43" Wega last year. From my eyes, flesh tones color looks better with Sony. Just my personal opinion.

I was eyeing this TV but  the glass screen has reflection that would disturb you when watching. If you are going to use the 0 interest you might want to consider the 42 DLP. I know its more expensive but the video quality is night and day.

what is the 42 DLP? sorry for being naive. i was at the appliance center kanina and i auditioned for the toshiba, philips and samsung rptvs.
