Another great european brand (danish, i think).  They're stylish and upscale, as most european products are, like Bang & Olufsen (also danish).

A friend of mine uses a pair of Jamo bookshelf speakers and they sound good.

What astounded me was when I was in S&S in shang and I was hearing such great vocals. When I asked which speaker was playing, I was surprised to be pointed to a very tiny 6inch high Jamo cutie speaker. Galing talaga.

What model do you think is with Sonny Tuazon and how much? 5th Avenue is also distributing (dealing) jamo,i think, however im not giving it a second look since its not being pushed. Since Sonny is into this, perhaps these may be good speakers.

Looking at the website, they have extensive model range. The Eisa speaker of the year 2004-2005 is the D700 i think. May be worth looking at.

I think saw a couple at 5th Ave Park Square Makati.  But that was many months ago.  Suggest you call if they still carry the brand.

there's one model of Jamo, i think it is the E350, that is 92dB, double woofer and a tweeter, 2-way, floorstanding, that is really inexpensive.  the downside only of the E350 is that it is not bi-wireable and is speaker clip-type only. :'( pero pogi ang porma.

For me,   if it's designed that way and sounds good, and blends very well in your existing setup, it doesn't matter :D Actually I've purchased one set jammo E350PLL ( Fronts, center, surrounds) @ 16K for my brother's new setup. And I've noticed the clip type and non bi-wirable speaker posts. At first I was being biased that it would not sound that good at that price. But after the initial testing ,  :o :o the sound is much fuller as compared to diamond 9 series of the same price range. At 92 Db sensitivity, most entry level avrs can drive this baby with ease. It tends to be on the bright side when I paired it with Hk 2550, but I don't know  ??? I'm not usually fun of high end speaker cables, but when I replaced it with a decent one, (Ecoss 2.3) first on the center speakers , the highs was tamed and the mids get fuller. But that's just me.. :) :)

as shared by Toquero, the set of E350 that comprises of a floorstanding speakers for the Front, a center and a pair of surround is only P16k!

the limitation of the clip-type is that you can not use bigger gauge speaker wire, i think up to gauge 14 only but since the signal will travel only a short distance from the receiver to speakers, gauge 14 is more than enough.  what impresses me with this inexpensive floorstander is its sensitivity, 92dB! tube friendly.

soundwise, toquero already shared his.  just audition for yourself.

enjoy!

you're welcome arizton!

i suggest you give sonny a call first before auditioning the E350 set coz i think he ran out of stock of that set, so no demo units at hand right now.

happy hunting!

sir new age thanks again! ;D

i tried to look for a jamo speakers to a nearest 5th ave to my place thats in
sm north, the only jamo that they have is e301, package 5.1 set-up pero hindi
floorstander ( yung maliliit na speakers ) so i didnt bother to audition but i got to audition
a gale 3030 & 3040, this is my first choice sana for a floorstander. the 3040 disappoint me
parang may sabit yung base but the 3030 sounds good & its only 6k++ pretty much on my budget.

the 2nd i audition is this ms914 & i think i fell in love with it! medyo mataas ng konti sa budget
ko.
the 3rd speaker is the infinity grabe din pala tumunog, grabe din ang presyo!  :)

maybe i should wait till i audition this jamo floorstander baka hindi malayo sa tunog ng ms.

sir question po ulit, sa tingin nyo tataas ang mga price ng mga speakers sa dec o bababa? ???
my plan po sana is sa dec na bumili para madagdagan pa budget ko & para dumami pa mga choices
ko e....

thank u thank u  ;)

from a banker's point of view, prices of commodities will go up, in fact not in December, it already started!  due to the weakening of the peso and skyrocketing prices of crude oil.....mali yata ako ng thread ah!

in electronics, it's different since it is not a basic commodity (for me, it is ;D).  i don't think prices of electronics will go up ..... and with store owners like sonny tuazon around, everything would seem a little lighter in the pocket.

save now for the rainy days.
