Bro any suggestion is highly appreciated here, its not just for the contributors but mainly for our community(para sa mga ADDICTS ;D) maybe someday all these effort(mostly from blu ray) might be needed by our community(wag lang as evidence sa law suit ha ;D) thanks platinum and danrd ;)

Anytime Ricky. Just helping in every way we can.

Anyone with  DTS96/24 DVDs? I saw a few of em in HK last month. Phantom of the Opera was one.

this would make an awesome addition to the project.

Bluray, lets put these DTS 96/24 DVDs in our wishlist.

i got the korean phantom and pchin owns the hk one with DTS96/24. i am not aware of any title with the same audio encoding though.

I saw a few DTS 96/24 titles when I was in Hong Kong last month, aside from Phantom. I guess Chinese Tall Story is one.

I have both The Phantom of Opera (HK) & A Chinese Tall Story (Avant-Garde edition) (HK). Both DVDs have DTS96/24 :)

Also Casshern Ultimate Edition DTS-ES (JAP)

How about The Myth (Limited Avant-Garde Collector's Edition)? The film comes in 1536 kbps DTS I'm not sure what's the difference as compared to the ordinary DTS  ???

Another suggestion. It will be good too if we can include a special disc to measure picture quality, as an evaluation tool for our home HD display, DVD players & video processors.

Currently, I own the HQV Benchmark DVD (developed by Silicon Optix) which is used by many video techs to test video processing quality such as dnterlacing, motion correction, noise reduction, film cadence detection & detail enchancement.

pchin, with all the great titles you have, your collection alone could fill up 90% of the Demo Disc. great work. Valiant HK has a great DTS too.

------

Bambi also has a screensaver option, btw. i would like to suggest The Frighteners DTS - German Release and Fantasia 2000 - DTS (Pines of Rome) (if not included in demo disc 1).

Another suggestion is include both Dolby 5.1 and dts 5.1 in one.  Kasi all of japan ultimate editions and R1 collectors edition numbered spine have both dd & dts.  Pero I think it will need a lot of space.

categories:
all demo is dolby 5.1 ex
all demo in dts es
all demo in 96/24
all japan ultimate editions like all alien and predator series,  Die hard, species, etc
all demo in superbits (mas ok kung lahat ng superbit releses ng r1 & r3 magkasama.  Meron din mga R2 japan na wala sa R1 and R3 like jurassic park trilogy and ghostbusters etc.)
all demo thx certified movies.  These are the ones that have superior picture and sound quality.
And also in 1 disc sana all Region one collectors edition numbered spine from #1 to #24 na ata.  That would be great.

Suggestion ulit mga bossing:

1. Try and minimize scenes with too much explosions. Mas maganda kung most are surround intensive for you to hear the full realism capability of all the speakers of your HT.

2. Don't make too short clips. I think there is at least a breathing space before the climax of the scene for you to differentiate the changes in the sound environment.

That's all for now.

Big time collectors will most likely land on the list for obvious reasons. With their vast collections others may not have the chance because most likely sa kanila pa lang, nandun na lahat ang kailangan. Maybe to spread the blessing of being able to get into that list and in return to be entitled copy of the DEMO DISCS may I suggest to the Executive Board to limit only to ONE (1) disc to qualify.

How is this applied?

All interested will just have to submit the list of DVDs willing to contribute (at least 5), the Executive Board will evaluate and if one of the disc qualifies to be included in the list, then the owner will be IN. Other titles should come from other applying contributors.  This way more will land on the list.

This is just a suggestion sirs..  ;D

1. I agree sir Danrd. I have already told this to bluray long ago. Too much explosions would make one dizzy. I should know... I have played the ultimate demo disk over 30 times already (not including the evaluation process).  ;D

2. Oo nga, foreplay muna bago climax ;D. Di pa nag aasawa si bluray so di pa nya gaano kabisado yan, di bale turuan natin.   ;D

Peace bluray  ;D

Ok lang bro kung konti lang na contribute mo dati. Read our old threads, di ba isa sa mga requirements eh, dapat gwapo? Eh doon pa lang, pasado ka na. Thanks for your offer bro and cheers to gwapo dozen!

Sa current project (demo 3), isa rin yan sa mga "unsaid" requirement. So kung pasok na kayo at nakita na kayo ni bluray..then mga GWAPO kayo. Si bluray yung pageant judge namin  ;D

Sir, we actually give the priority to smaller collectors, then let the bigger collectors contribute last, since they have a lot to offer anyway, including rare titles. This would make sense since smaller collectors have fewer (more common) DVDs and not as extensive as the (rarer) LE's of the big collectors. The big collectors are on standby for whatever was not contributed by the smaller collectors.

But needing only one title (out of 5) to qualify? that might be too lax a criteria to  follow specially considering there are only 10 slots. I dont think the project would succeed with such a criteria. Selections would be very limited.

What i mean here is: All the titles i put on my list and submit may all qualify to be in the demo, but because only one qualifying disc/title is required for an applicant, then other titles can be taken from the list of other applicants. Now if all the titles i submitted do not qualify to be included in the DEMO, then better luck next time.  ;D

Just to clarify sir, this will be without prejudice to other requirements like number of posts, collection count, etc.

1. Blu-ray
2. Matz
3. Ricky
4. Aldrinpsx
5. Classicman
6. Esi
7. Compaq
8. Temporarily reserved to Pchin
9. Temporarily reserved to Hemisphere
10. Temporarily reserved to Baby

Aldrinpsx promised more than 15 titles
Classicman almost 20 titles
Esi almost 15 titles including two Ultimate THX Demo disk, Digital Video Essentials and many dts concerts
Compaq plan to meet me this coming monday for almost 20 titles including Live Aid and other dts concerts

******************

Sa mga nag offer sa PM, marami kayo kaso magkakapareho ng titles...nagkakatalo lang sa concerts. Wala samaan ng loob mga sir ha...kung maari ko lang isama kayo ginawa ko na. The problem is, most of the titles you mentioned on PM are duplicate with those offered by those members confirmed earlier through phone and text messages. Sorry for not replying to your PM because di ko na rin maharap and inaayos ko yung listing ng mga titles na offered.

I offered the suggestion sirs, taking into consideration my understanding on the above post.  ;)

Sir, I understood you the first time. But the project has limitations. One very important limitation is that there are only 10 slots. Its not a first PM, first serve basis. The bigger the contribution, the better the chance of getting the slot. Any one who offers only 1-5 titles like in your suggestion above would be most likely eliminated from the list by the sheer quantity of DVDs offered by some participants  in this quoted post:

I also agree... let's put some balance. Some explosion scenes then dialogue & subtle "surround" noise.

Hey MatZ, I believe blu-ray had (already) entered the "exploration/experimentation" stage. I'm sure he can relate to this "climax" thing  ;D

By the way, i'm overwhelmed! I'm certainly not in the same level as the other Project III members - their big time! I'm really glad 'was able to make it.  8)

Cheers!!!
