Sir gameboy,

I got the LA32S71B + 29" flat TV + 5.1 HT set + wall mount + electric fan for 75,000 PHP. Just added a Xbox 360 and hope to get either a HD DVD player or a PS3 next month. Nakakahiya magpost ng pics... dumi ng room hehe

That comes free when you buy the 32" slimfit. They dont sell it separately according to samsung

yup naka slimfit ako dati...upgrade lang to lcd...di na nila kinuha yung stand...and good thing hinde! ayaw ko naman i wall mount to...kasi wood lang yung pader...baka bumagsak...
oh and i got the pioneer 696 upscaler already...what can i say...hardly noticed the difference from a 480p to 720p/ 1080i...pero THERE ARE improvements naman....in fairness i think nag mukang buhay ng konti yung picture at parang nag sharp...so far so good na rin

...pero i think di ko na lang binili muna...hirap kasi sakin impulsive buyer...kelangan ko ng baguhin ugali ko! hahahaha

actually halos pareho lang sila....contrast ratio lang difference...yung sonoma ko 3000:1...yung bordeaux series naman 5000:1....ok naman black level....for me ha....

thanks to this thread i found the right t.v. that suits me. unfortunately, wala pa ko cash pero nag down nko. the thing is I'm going to use my card but they told me i can get this baby for 70k if i pay in cash!!! not a bad deal huh?!?! though I'm really excited to get this baby i still have to wait until the 15 of nov coz thats the time i can get my dinero...hehehehe...thanks again to everyone with great reviews and encouragement

We just got our LA32S71B last monday (delivered tuesday night!)...

12 mo. 0% sa Abensons Glorietta - LA32S71B with the 2GB MP3 player (instead of the 21" TV), wall mount bracket and the HT-Q20 HTIB package - all @ 75K flat...

With regards to video quality when playing DVDs, my Xenon DVD player doesn't do very good (480p lang kasi).... Laki ng difference when I play DVDs sa XBox (XBMC) at 720p / 1080i...

Kung eto pantapat nila sa Sony V2 Series eh talo na ang Sony dito.
The V2 is not yet 1080p. Etong Samsung Model is already 1080p.

nakakainis lang itong samsung kung bakit kailangan pa nila mamigay ng ganyang mga freebies at bakit di nalang nila iawas sa presyo yung halaga ng mga libre na yan.

Well, that's called "product bundling"..... Syempre, they can sell multiple products in one time. Kung tutuusin, may good point pa rin naman, instead of buying them all separately na lalabas mas mahal.

...and you'll notice, di lang sa Samsung ang ganyan.... even other brands.

Yes, but most of the time, you don't need the freebie. Like me, I'd been eyeing the 32" Sonoma LCD for sometime, but I don't need an extra 21" TV (my pad is small, that's why I am opting for a LCD TV - I can dispose of it at a discount, but that requires additional effort and time) or a 2GB music player (I already own an ipod Nano). Even the wall bracket is useless for me. So instead of buying it now, I am waiting for price to drop further... If they can bundle all those for 75k, surely, they can sell it 65k bare. At that price point, I will probably buy it outright... until then...

If you'll buy it outright, you will be getting a 29" TV along with the other freebies.

ako nung nag upgrade ako from slimfit to lcd...i retained the rack and i got a 2gig mp3 player and the 29" tv tsaka opkors yung wallmount... tinawagan ko nga ulit sila kasi lalabas na dito yung F and N series...eh sana pwedeng mag upgrade ulet sa ganun model...2 hdmi unputs tas 6000:1 contrast ratio...pwede na...pwede na ulet... hehehe sana may 32" na 1080p...di ko naman kelangan talaga nang super laking tv...baka malula nako

I've the same questions, especially after reading the thread about demo disks. How do regular cable TV signals look when one compares LCD to CRT TV? I also have the same question for regular DVDs.

Have a similar question. Appreciate any advice.

I'm currently using a Pioneer 676A with progressive scan output to a Sony (surplus) 28" High-Definition KW-28HDF7 and PQ is fine, but I'd really like to get a 40" screen. My dilemma is if it would be worth the investment to get a Plasma/LCD since my source (i.e. DVD) is not HD anyway, and there's still no HD cable broadcast anyway. Will the PQ be better with a 40" Plasma/LCD vs my CRT, even with non-HD sources? Or should I just defer?

Probably related, how does the 32"LCD PQ compare to a CRT with progressive component output, when watching orginary dvd's (not HD or blu-ray)?

I was finally able to get the LA32S71B. Everything seems to be ok with the exception of it's PIP feature. I was a little disappointed that you can't watch local channels and watch DVD at the same time. Well, not unless you're using HDMI to connect the DVD player. Is this also the case with the R71?

Don, I was also eying the R71. But upon comparing it side by side w/ the S71, I didn't notice too much of a difference. I didn't think the 20k price difference was all worth it. So I decided to just go w/ the S71. But offcourse I'm no expert. I just based it on what I saw. Hope this helps.

Dami pagpipilian. I was also looking at the Sony LCD that's w/in the same price range. But it lacked HDMI connection. So I went w/ the Samsung LCD.
