Congrats! very nice!

Great choice of AVR for a beginner! You must have done some research first. You wont need to upgrade that for some time.

But maybe you can add a power amp in the future for your fronts to bring out the best of your floorstanders  ;). I used to own a 650 and it couldnt bring out the best in my floorstanders. Naku sars suggestion ata to ah. Just my 2 cents  ;)

Hi Sir MAtZTER,

I took me 3 months to decide which AVR to buy. Choosed between HK135 and 650, more on HT po kasi ako kaya I decided to get the 650. Thanks po for the suggestion! Upgrade po muna ako ng monitor coz I'm just using an old 21" tv set, ipon muna. Hopefully by mid year na lang. Pero ma tindin paliwanagan na naman yan kay misis. Hehehe! If ever po na I consider buying a power amp. ano po ba ma sasuggest nyo na brand na medyo mura lang? At ano po ba magandang gamitin na wires for the surround? Hindi naman po gaano kalakihan un living room ko. And gusto ko rin po sana maximize un receiver ko to setup 7.1, paano ko po kaya lalagay un surround back? Wala na space sa likod kasi un sala set naka dikit na sa wall, and the ceilling is so high.

Assassin101, congrats for having a very nice set-up!

maganda din gamitin ang audio pro gauge 14 na wire for the surround.

Surround wires, I used 12ga Genesis wires from Raon, mura lang dun.  PM kita about power amp.

Bihira lang naman 7.1 DVDs, so di mo kailangan pilitin mag 7.1 pag hirap yung room to accomodate 7 speakers. gastos lang yan (sa speakers). Monitor & amp muna  :).

Ganon po ba. Medyo maliit nga un living room ko. Better siguro palitan ko na lang muna yun surround ko to DFS 8 para timber match sa iba kong speaker. I'll try to go to raon this weekend to buy the wires. Pareho lang po ba placement ng surround speaker na direct firing with dfs?

it's a waterproof florescent light which i bought for about 300 bucks... hehehe got it at gateway mall exhibit last week. but i still need to properly position the blue light for optimum lighting effect once i get some free time.
