I only got Mr. & Mrs Smith when I came. Buti na lang marami tayong kaibigan sa pinoydvd. I was able to talk/beg/coerce/intimidate (JK) several members to give up their extra copies. So I went home with Mr. & Mrs Smith, Star Wars Episode 3 and Fantastic Four.

Mahal ng mga box sets. Not much are worth buying

I was there at 10 and the first thing I asked for was SW ep3. Wala daw. Buti na lang nag-ikot ako. I saw about 3 on the shelves so I was able to get 1.

At around 11 before I left meron pang isang Jack Ryan boxset but this is not the special ed so it's not DTS. But you can buy the movies individually. Same price din yung special ed DTS. P333 each. I was able to buy. As far as I know meron pa.

blitz got the last Batman Anthology boxed set, so I had to settle for the individual slip-cased ones instead. Not bad, but I lost Php 200 in the process.

I also got:

A Clockwork Orange
Sideways
Madagascar
The Ring 2
3-Way
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit
Fun With Dick & Jane

The past sales seemed to have a bigger selection, with better prices on the boxed sets. Plus there were a lot of titles listed that just weren't there. For example, in the list above, Everybody Loves Raymond Seasons 1-3 were supposed to be included. I doubt this particular title that would sell out early, but when I got there at 11:00, only Season 1 was available.

Was there til 3pm. No replenishment of stocks. Yun mga nakakuha hindi early birds....but yesterday's birds.

Na-over-priced ata yung bili ko nung Angels In America for Php 695? Kindly confirm nga kung tama ito... kasi nakalagay sa first page ay Php 499 lang. At saka, ito lang rin natatandaan kong price nung kinuha ko ito kanina. I've just checked my receipt right now.

actually hindi early birds ang nakakuha kung hindi mostly mga nagpapareserve which i think is very very WRONG!!

pagdating ko sa astro podium mga 10:10, 2 finding nemo at cinderella agad kinuha ko.

umikot-ikot ako pero wala na talagang sw ep3 at f4. i asked the viva saleslady and told me all copies are reserved the day before. buti na lang hiniritan siya ng mga tao sa counter na bigyan ako para may benta na sila. swerte at binigyan ako. syempre binayaran ko agad.

also got 3 thomas and friends vcd for 100 each. kakabili ko lang ng 4 copies para sa anak 3 weeks ago for 250 each. sayang!

comment lang sa reservations ha. all 30 copies kasi ng sw ep3 e naka-reserve na daw a day before. swerte lang talaga at binigyan ako.
ok lang sana kasi magpa-reserve kung hindi sale. kaya nga tayo nag-eexert ng extra effort durig sale e para makatipid ng konting pera. para maging fair sana sa lahat, punta na lang tayo sa store tuwing sale. kung sino pinaka-maaga, siya susuwertihin.

I'm relatively new here as can be seen. I'm one of the those who made reservations. I learned about the reservation stuff also from here. Yesterday, I asked the guy from Astroplus if they allow reservations and he said that if it is of the 'reasonable' quantity, ie. around 20 titles, then they will allow such reservations. So I promptly chose the titles that I wanted to have.

Now, reading through the posts, I know that if I were one of those who was not able to get hold of a copy of the much sought titles, then definitely I will feel bad. However since they allowed the reservation to happen yesterday, then I grabbed the chance since it was made available to me. I am glad in the fact that I was able to get tip from these board from previous posts on past Astroplus sales, but I am also not happy knowing that a lot of people did not get any title even if they went there very early.

Just my two cents worth.

Agree with krets...

Malamang pa nyan, sa susunod na sale... mas mababa pa sa PhP 1800 yung Batman Anthology.
