If you look at the reviews on the home cinema choice website they're saying you won't go wrong in choosing either the TX200 or the AE900. Some of the key points worth mentioning in the review of the two units is that:
The AE900 does a better job of addressing the "chicken wire effect" than the TX200 but the review doesn't list this as a shortcoming of the TX200 the AE900 is just "better" at it.
The TX200 is said to be better at rendering black levels owing to the fact that the hitachi has a claimed contrast of 7000:1 and mentions that some companies tend to be a bit optomistc when it comes to the contrast of their machines but the TX200 actually has the PQ to back it up.
And as Munskie mentioned the TX200 is prettier than the Panny....
So in choosing between these two projectors its going to be down to personal choice and audition! audition! audition! and the all important factor PRICE!
Personally I prefer the Panny
