Congratulations, Louie!

A suggestion...I've had these speakers before...suggested height of stands is 26.5inches...also, for maximum bass, try to have stands custom-made by turbokiller w/ 4 pillars (sand-fillable). Upper plate w/ exact same dimensions as speakers. Enjoy!

IMHO, there are very few subs that can catch up to the drivers of Harbeths. Based on experience, best result is from a sealed sub, or at least one with a passive radiator. REL subs match up well with Harbeths. My previous sealed Anthony Audio sub came very close, but in the end I preferred the sound of my Compact 7s without a sub.

Pang demo ni Ferdie palagi yung combo na yan pag Hi Fi show....Harbeth and REL Acoustics. I remember before there were a lot of listeners including myself intently listening to the Harbeth/Accuphase combo then he repeated the track that was playing this time with the REL located in the middle of the room of all places for reinforcement. Parang naging floorstanders yung small Harbeths bigla. Lumawak yung soundstage lalo. The smallest Harbeth with the smallest REL...killer combo na agad. Yun lang lampas 100K agad speaker and sub pa lang.

I got good results with Atacama Atabites speaker stand filler available from Audioworld. 1 pail of 7.5 kg per side.

My Harbeth HL-C7ES driven by Creek 4041S2. Got it used and faulty from the UK and shipped here. I've finally heard an HL-C7ES3 at a friends and could say mine are not that far off after the repairs, same qualities.
