Had a friend re-order the Chinese Iron Pak edition of AVATAR. Simply because I couldn't believe just how beautiful this Iron Pak looked on Blu-ray.com. Will keep it alongside my UK Amazon Steelbook. Can never have too much of AVATAR.

Finally got my Avatar Blu-ray Steelbook from Amazon.uk!

Notice that the packaging even advertises the movie. The steebook is nice, and it's the glossy type so it's a fingerprint magnet. The collectible lenticular artcards were thick but could easily fit inside the steelbook. The included book, Avatar: An Activist Survival Guide was better than what I had expected - it contains nearly every aspect of Pandora's flora and fauna, complete with scientific names, err, I mean, Na'vi names :-). It even includes a Na'vi - English Dictionary. The book is thick, and I might give it a read later. Haven't tried the discs yet, probably this weekend. :-)

Ordered mine on April 18th. Tapos I just got it yesterday April 28th - though my shipping says May 21st pa dapat siya dadating. Standard shipping din ako, though I am here in Dubai so I think medyo mabilis since malapit lang.

Ay nasa Dubai pala kayo. hehehe... akala ko kasi dito kayo sa pinas. Yeah, from my past experiences with amazon uk, delivery usually takes 10-14 days via Royal Mail. But this is the first time they shipped my package by Deutsche Post DHL and they gave me an estimated delivery date of more than a month - April 25 - June 2. I sure hope I get it earlier than the expected date.

Anyway, congrats again on your Avatar! That's a preorder item only and I think it's already out of stock so expect value to go up a notch.

Oh so that should be good. I've never had problems before with the German Deutsche Post and they usually get here in 2 weeks' time.. well except for a few damaged steels but I don't think they were from shipping. Most likely the damage was already there before they were shipped.

Also, the German DP usually provides a tracking number, but for this one (the UK Avatar), they didn't. Wonder why that is... Anyway, I hope they arrive in one piece and earlier than expected... crossing my fingers.

Right you are. I also considered the Chinese version after seeing the back art - I wish the UK version had the same back cover.

In the end, I opted for the UK one because I prefer steelbooks to ironpacks.

I ordered both versions, we'll see which one arrives first UK or Chinese Avatar. Lots of stuff from US/ Canada taking an eternity to arrive including Blade Trilogy on Blu-ray.
