Yes, Today na 'to! I'm crossing my fingers, I really hope that this would be a good release. Anyway, is the Geisha costume being raffled a life-size one or a smaller replica? Cause kung life-size ito, then that would be the LE! Unless the Japanese have something in their kimono sleeves...

It comes in a sturdy pink (?) box, 2 disc, widescreen, Php 895, ok naman uyng packaging. Sayang di ko pa nabili...

I got my prordered copy. The outer box is plain non-glossy thin cardboard box, it looks more professional and classy when compared to the atrocity that is the Kingkong box. I would have like it better if it is a slipcase.

The photobook, is just that, photo book, no liner notes or anything, just pictures of scenes from the movie. medyo classy din ang dating.

The DVD case is standard transparent Magnavision Amaray-style case. My copy has a severely wrinkled front plastic, that really takes a lot out of it's presentation. Inside, you get two DVDs, which I presumed are DVD9s.

And two ads for CSI:NY and Supernatural on AXN enclosed.

Walang binigay sa akin na ticket. I thought it was inside, so I didn't ask for it. There goes my chance of owning a Geisha costume.

Is it worth 895? Well, standard Magnavision DVD9s cost the same, so I guess the box and the Photobook are neat extras. Though I haven't seen the R1 or Korean Geisha, I am sure those will blow this one away.

Am I disappointed? Not really, with my expectation so low (on account of Kingkong), this is an improvement.

A budget version exist - one disc and probably DVD5, that version sells for 475.

Available na sa Astrovision SM Manila. Merong VCD, 1-disc and 2-disc DVD. Nasa loob yung ticket para manalo ng geisha costume (?).

Hindi sila nagkaroon ng reservations kaya walang P100 off.

Really, really like it. To my opinion, one of the best dvd releases we have gotten this year. Very nice packaging and photo booklet: really cool. Though I did not win the costume, I am still not disapointed at all.

Sir Hemi, it looks exaclty like the pictures above and the one being sold in thailand and yesasia.

...Really nice release...So worth it.

Walang ticket sa loob ng deluxe box.

With the budget release, the ticket was shrinked wrapped into the DVD.

Crazyguyallert, does your Geisha DVD has a wrinkled plastic cover on case or is it just mine?

All the copies I saw at Astrovision V-Mall and SM Sta. Mesa weren't wrinkled. I guess it depends which store you got your copy from. Bad trip yan, a!

Got mine from Astro SM City... super wrinkled plastic cover on the front. As in lukot. Great photo book though. Sana nga slipcase na lang kesa box. Hirap pa tanggalin ng DVDs.

I noticed the copies at V-Mall had the "Win a Geisha Costume" sticker on them, while those at SM Sta. Mesa didn't. Maybe those with the stickers have the tickets in them?

I passed on this title. It's just not something I'd ever watch nor want to add to my collection.

Mine is from SM Sta.Mesa, It's super lukot. It's so bad, that I am in search of double DVD transparent Amarays to replace it.

With the 2-disc set, you can't see it (without opening the shrinkwrap) since, the plastic amaray is inside the cardboard box.

All DVD5 budget release have smooth plastic, as far as I know, since you see what you get, they don't dare use wrinkled plastic cover cases.

The case is prone to folds everytime you open it, that is why I prefer slipcase.

And somehow, pressing the release button to free the DVD has let to two points around the lips of Zhang (printed cover). The DVDs are harder to release than most other case.

Watched the movie last night. Left half satisfied... Beautiful cinematography and scenics, but somehow I feel empty even with the Cinderella-style ending....

I thought the ticket is inside the box, so I didn't bother asking for it. I have no use for a Geisha costume anyway... definitely no plan of wearing it to an eb.

Just finished watching it 10 mins ago, I loved every single bit (mostly the beautiful actress', costumes and above all; THE SCORE). Loaded with features (too much actually

), a long making-of feature would have been enough for me and maybe even better.

I agree with everything Sir Techdude said. Pareho kami ng nangyari sa DVD. 2 ponts sa lips ni Ziyi Zhang dahil ang hirap alisin ng discs. I replaced the clear case already. Super lukot kasi ung plastic. Good contents though.

Full Package,

Looks excatly the same as the first pictures.

Inside the dvd is just 2 discs, behind the 1st disc is Ziyi's beautiful face, behind the 2nd disc is adds for new movies like RENT, THE PASSANGER etc.

Sory about the ugly photography, it's not my thing.

I bought one and I was somewhat satisfied. The photobook's binding is ugh, I don't want to talk about it (Actually, it can fall off if you're not careful), but then again, it is a freebie. I solved my personal problem...what to do with the box...I turned it into a slipcase. Hwehehe.
