Thanks. How about Mordaunt Short (Carnival 6)? Also, someone is offering a pair of Energy C6. Medyo may kalakihan ang floorstanders na to but at Php10k is it a good price though? (Sorry OT of sorts.)

Mahihirapan nang idrive ng entry level Onkyo ang floorstanders... Not unless mataas ang impedance and sensitivity nya...

to be safe look for high sensitivity speaker.. 90db up

Mga sirs, in the absence of proper fronts, pwede ko ba kabitin receiver ko to my htib thru optical cable just to get the sounds muna. Then my ps3, media player to the receiver then out to my tv thru hdmi? Pb1000 pa kasi na kuha ko as per advice ni master louie

After viewing the forum here.

I am interested with Onkyo and heard a lot of good things about it.

Things I need are:

2 Tower type of speaker

Cables

Stuff I got for my connected home entertainment

xbox 360 slim edition
Linksys SMART WiFi router AC 1750 HD Video Pro
Linksys Wireless AC Universal Media Connector

^ why not the US version 818 at the same price? IMO, it's even better than a 1009 which is also within the 40K-50K price bracket (unless he'd go the whole shebang for a 9.1 setup, all powered by the receiver)

For the AVReceiver consider the Onkyo 818 and 3008...
Is your 45K budget for speakers include the subwoofer and surrounds or just a pair of floorstander(tower) speakers?
