Nope. Made by Transparent brand (http://www.transparentcable.com/ ) yung sa akin, not transparent yung wire housing.

Its really a thick cable.

mga sirs, my current speakers are all rated 8ohms (polk). when i set up the speaker impedance sa 818 it allows me two choices lang. 4 or 6ohms. manual says if im using 8ohms speakers to set it at 6ohms. now pwede kaya kabitin ko ng rear surrounds na 75w 6ohms speakers from an old htib? masisira kaya amp ko if two diff kind of impedance ginagamit at the same time?

I dont think it does. I'm using mixed loads din with my 5008 :) LCR 6 ohms, surrounds 8 ohms.

Patulong naman po mga Gurus. I have this Onkyo 1007 w/ goes on protect mode at high volume starting at -8db. at first i thought it was just my voltage regulator, but when i connected it directly to the wall outlet, ganon pa din na protect mode pa rin.

Settings i've done w/ the AVR.

Auto audessy calibration
SPL calibration at 75db for fronts, center, surrounds & 80db for the 2 subwoofers

Ano po kaya problema dito? Sana matulongan nyo ako. Thank in advance.

What speakers are you using and how many ang naka-connect sa onkyo receiver mo?

Does it happen before or recently mo lang na-encounter?

As per instruction sa left back surruond channel ko sya ikinabit.
Naka All Ch Stereo ang mode nya. D man na protect mode.

Ang gamit ko palang speakers ay front=MS carnival 6, center= polk audio csi a6, side surruond= MS carnival 3, rear surround= MS carnival 5.

Most likely hirap yung receiver mo to power all your speakers kaya nagpo-protect siya during loud passages. Kapag music kasi it's only 2 channel stereo kaya kahit na malakas yung volume kaya pa din ng receiver. Have you tried switching the speaker settings of your Onkyo receiver to 4ohms? Because your MS speakers' impedance dip to 4ohms according to specs.

818 users, what's your usual volume level? With my old 606, I dont usually exceed 50 but with the 818 I sometimes have to crank the volume as high as 70, is that normal?

I know that the 818 is way powerful than the 606 but with mine, it doesnt appear to be.

Please help

Maybe why I like the old oinks, nearer to advertised specs.  For example here are apples to apples tests from the same mag.  Close to bottom line 606 vs close to top line 5008.  The all 5 channel and 7 channel output seems to be a wash ;^)
