...Happy owner of Onkyo TX-NR3030 for 6 mos.

The pure analog audio path ( aside from the pure audio and pure direct mode) is what I like on this model, (press the pure audio button for 5 seconds to activate this) when using my CD player and external DAC. This feature is present on models 838, 1030 and 3030.

i have onkyo tx-nr616, updated its firmare but i am still having issues getting some hdmi to output properly.

any idea how to fix this?

Need you opinions lang regarding my simple HT set-up. I'm current using Onkyo NR509 (80 wpc) paired with Mission M34i (92 db).

If I upgrade my receiver to a NR737 (110 wpc), would there be a significant diff? sulit to upgrade?

Yes. Higher wattage na yun 737 than your previous amplifier

sayang naman yung onkyo avr 626 nyo sir kung jamo speakers lang i-partner nyo.

ayaw nyo ba ng polk audio? weakness kc ng jamo ang midrange area based on several reviews,parang butas, mahina ang midrange ng jamo 608 FS.

aside from that, polk audio ang ka-matched ng onkyo. yung jamo sub250 naman, although bitin yan sa lows pero puwede na as a stop gap measure.

once ka lang naman bibili, why not yung ok na, kasi by their very nature speakers can last a long time even for more than 10 years.

cguro you were tempted by discounts since the Danish jamo speakers was already phased out long time ago.

just my advice lang po.

rti -a7 i think works will with 626, maybe lower down nalang center front and sub.

i would discourage anything less than the 8 series for the a7. the a3 might sound better because of the lack for power from the 6 series onkyo.

My insights:
Pareho lang naman efficiency ng A7 and A3 so you'll get the same output per watt. A7's advantage on bass over A3 will be virtually useless once you have set the speakers to small. The FX/i or any dipole/bipole worked with the ancient Dolby Prologic (synthesized surrounds) but will muddy the sound of today's discrete surround outputs. So I suggest you use Rti A3 all around, for perfect timbre-match.

And if you want the lows to dig deeper consider an SVS sub, or two!

747 can support dts-x and atmos through firmware update, easy lang sya sir, download it to your usb, reflash the receiver and thats it sir.. 838 dolby atmos as of now sir, i think 848 soon pag may stock na will be atmos and dts-x na.

Locally bought units has an advantage sa after sales syempre sir.

walang 848 model na lalabas. next models above the 747 are the RZ800 and RZ900. wala pang balita kung ilalabas sila locally.

I'll call them, humihina kasi left back surround and front right, dati left surround ang humina, biglang nag-ok pero right front and left back naman ang humina, lumilipat-lipat yung issue.. hehe..

Wala pa man din budget pang-upgrade ngayon

Pinatingnan ko sa Toyama yong 818 ko sir, nilinis nila yong loob ng mga button sa harap at may sinolder daw don sa HDMI, buti na lang walang pinalitang parts. So far ok na ulit yong unit ko mga two weeks ko pa lang naman nagagamit yng 818 ko so under observation pa rin.
