Maybe you can have it changed to another unit and check if it is indeed inverted..  Baka "LEMON" ang nakuha mo..

Onkyo 604 complements well either with B&W or Paradigm speakers.  Maybe you can come to our showroom to check out what package is appropriate for your needs. You also need to get audition to be convinced.

Does the TX-SR705 upscale video to 1080p through component input?  Is the output towards your display through HDMI already or still component?  TIA

Post from AVSforum:

4) Does this receiver upscale my video to 1080p?

This receiver won’t upscale to 1080p. The maximum resolution it can upscale video to is 720p. If you want an Onkyo receiver that upscales low resolution sources to 1080p I recommend you look at the Onkyo 875 or Onkyo 905 models.

5) So are you saying this receiver downscales ALL my signals to 720p?

No. This receiver passes signals from the same source input type to the same source output type at whatever resolution it was when it began.
For example:
1080p HDMI input = 1080p HDMI output
1080p component input = 1080p component output

The only time it downscales videos is when you change the input type via the receiver.
For Example:
1080 Component input = 720p HDMI output

Still gathering my initial comments yet coz I'm an Onkyo newbie. But I could say it definitely has more kick than my former HKAVR335. Video connectivity and upscaling quality is simply awesome. Tried to set my Faroudja OPPO to 480p and it still produces vibrant colors and better video texture.

Saw your setup at the gallery and man you got some awesome gears. We both have an interesting feedbacks coz your driving a hard driven B&W's against my easily driven Missions. What's your listening level? Mine is loud enough at -25 db.

The Neural THX 7.1 feature is quite cool. turns a 2 channel source to 7.1 better than DPLIIx.

And yes the PQ is amazing. According to reviews I read, its perfect for 720p native TV's or PJ's.

The 705 is an excellent receiver. With 3 Aureus chips, its presents a very detailed HT experience ( I use the pre-amp section only, as I use power amps). Its a bit noisy though. As my wife is now complaining about the sub being felt from our 2nd floor, not something that happened with my previous HK630, Yamaha 2500 or Denon 2807 receivers.

So careful with the neighbors with this one.

Got that right pre. Watched spiderman 3 last night and found myself turning down the volume. Hanep sa detailS. Another kickass feature is its one hdmi video in, then all out on composite, component and hdmi. Plus speaker out terminals ready for zone 2. Another gastos but its perfect coz I'm thinking of putting another set of speakers on the Dart area.  :)
