as the name implies, this unit is sold as a kit for home constructors, that was popular in the states back then, i myself own a Heatkit sine-square signal genrator which still is useable till now.

should you buy this unit, be ready to do some re capping and some restoration work, the resistors could have drifted in value, the if transofrmers could use some alignment. in other words, be ready to do some work on this unit. you are not going to get this as a plug and play thing.

if its a tube unit,then it should sound like a tube does... ;D
