i think a nice 5 min scene from your dvd played at high volume on new year's eve would be a nice way to welcome the year 2002

so which dvd are you gonna crank-up!

mine would either be the shrek karaoke party or...
scene 14 in moulin rouge where nicole & ewan where singing on top of the elephant with a nice firework finaly .

Maybe the scene in Cutting Edge during New Year when Kate and Doug were about to kiss amidst the crowd and the sparklers and all Doug got was a kiss on the cheek! What a bummer!

For sound effects maybe just pop-in a Saving Private Ryan Disc in the scene near the end--->basta yung battle at the bridge.

Or maybe Predator DTS where Mac chased the Alien in the forest consuming all the firepower in his guttling gun!

Or maybe Miss Congeniality fireworks effects near the end!

Right. An annoying, shreiking (tama ba spelling?) diva is just what I need to welcome the new year.

I'd probably choose Die Hard ... any action scene in that movie. I know the movie happened on Christmas eve, but so what? It is my party and I will cry if I want to.

for the fireworks, "Annie". I remember as a kid, I was so amazed with how they can write the name "ANNIE" (longhand at that

) with fireworks in the sky. Seeing it now, the trick looks so obvious; thanks to DVD for ruining the magic

Something explosive-Saving Private Ryan, Battle at Omaha beach. Desperado Superbit is quite noisy too nice for greeting the New Year 2002.

As opposed to the the bang we usually hear during New Year's, we (with my family backing me up) would like to settle for something kinda quiet and/or funny. And since that was the first time I opened and watched it, we all laughed our hearts out!!! What DVD?

Once I purchase the Band of Brothers DVD boxset, I guess I'll play Episode 2 (Day of Days) of the miniseries right away on Jan 1, 2006...
This episode chronicles Easy Company's first foray into battle, from the paratroopers' death-defying jump right onto the encounter at the gun battery...
