sanction214,

magkano 2805, 2106 at 1906 jan sa cebu?  pwede ba jan bili?  And MA-MAHAL kasi d2 Manila!

your request is noted bro...i will just send you the name of the store (in SM City Cebu) which offers the best price and ikaw na bahala makipag set-up with their store reps...i think they have sister companies there in manila...but i'm not sure...
i've checked the 1906 its priced at 20plus but they would give cash discounts...its 20k for cash...that was a a few weeks or a month ago...i'm saving for it just in case i don't change my mind...i really like the features(auto-set up)..

jeckjeck and ricky,

Thanks for your reply,  regarding sa 3803 sa buy and sell, hindi ba magkalayo price range ng 3803 and 1906?  I will also try to pm sonny of home theater. Thanks for your help!

My current set-up is in 5.1. Have an Onkyo 494, sony ns300 and diamond 8 speakers.  The 494 seems to be not bringing out the best of my speakers.  Am keen on looking for a receiver with more power punch.  What can you recomend?  Preferably denon 1706 and marantz 5600?  OK ba sila?  Am more into music than ht.

Ano set-up nyo? Pa-post naman sound ng equipment nyo, tnx again guys!

If your receiver has pre-outs, you can use a more beefy external multichannel power amp, or an external stereo power amp to power the front stereo channel.

Only when you listen at full volume.   My Acurus amp is rated at 250watts per channel, and it is driving MS914 speakers rated only at 150 watts max.  Depending on the sensitivity of your speakers, typical comfortable room listening only requires less than 10 watts per channel continuous and peaking at twice that. Quite loud already for a 90db sensitive speakers in a 16sqm room.

Better to have more power than not enough. Clipping occurs when you have less power. Then distortion is prevalent also when you have less power. Just don't go full volume and you will be fine.

john5479,

where did you bought the 2106? ano previous receiver mo?  good luck on your new investment, hope to hear from you soon regarding its sound.  Ano speakers mo?

Sir AVetc,
I already tried Magicsing Ver2006 on my Denon AVR-B&W 603. My voice sounds better than the actual (!?) ;D
Parang "pro" when Denon-amplified. Just me. I'm planning to buy a Karavision next month.
Enjoy what you have!

Ive just auditioned the Denon 2105 at Sights and Sounds at Shangrilla.  They sell this for 27,500.    They have paired this up with a Paradigm Titan which is priced at 13k per pair.  The sounds is good for me since swabe nga sa pandinig.  The bass of the fronts of these bookshelves alone are great to hear, considering they are just bookshelves.

Im just new to this so I want your opinions.  Is this receiver good for the price?  Or should I consider HK Instead?   Should I settle for other speakers?  My budget for speakers is 20k.  Should I settle for 2nd hand of speakers in the buy n sell section?  For that budget of 20k for speakers, what would you recommend?  You can recommend either floor stander or bookshelf.  As of now im gonna place this in a 2.5 meter x 3.5 meter room.  Dont worry because im going to be transfering houses in about 2 years so no need to worry If you recommend floorstanders for the size of my room now.

Sa mga nababasa ko kasi mas madaming naka Monitor Audio kesa sa Paradigm.  How about Wharf 9 floorstanders ?  Mas ok ba Wharf kesa sa Paradigm for Denon's ?

Sorry for all the questions kasi I want to make sure that I have all the info before I take the plunge in getting Denon.

Im going to use this for 50% Audio and 50% HT.

Try listening to other combinations be fore you decide. Go to Architectural Audio to audition HK with MA or Dali or AE and skip to Spectra in Park Square if you want to hear the HK with Wharfedales.  There is also a Sights and Sounds in Park Square and I think they also carry wharfedales there.  Then let your ears decide.  ;)

Medyo OT lang po.. Just a " PRAISE for DENON"

I Have a DENON 1604 and decided to replace my 150 active Subwoofer for HT dahil medyo bitin sa LFE ang setup (or ang pandinig ko lang ;D). I connected Konzert 500Watts Stereo Amp directly from the LFE pre-out of 1604 to power-up a custom made 12" 350 watts sub-woofer (walang XO in between). I was so fascinated coz the built-in XO of Denon AVR works great. Walang kabutas butas yung 200hz - 20hz sweep test sa AVIA DVD. Well, I know that built in XO should work that way. Pero hindi ko lang siguro inaasahan na ganun ka accurate kasi most of active subwoofers have their own XO to be adjusted to match the AVRs dba.. wheeewww.. buti na lang at na try ko to at d ako napagastos sa bagong mamahaling sub  ;D ;D ;D   Just me.. and my .02  :)

You're essentially using a passive sub driven by your Konzert power amp and XO'd by your receiver's LFE out.  That's as straightforward a bi-amping as it gets.

Ung SR-4500 ko wlang problema, ganda sya sa HT and Audio. Although di ko pa naririnig ang Denon, inisip ko dati dapat nag denon 1905 or 2005 na lang ako...i audition mo nalang sir.

passed by one A/V shop in Shang..and saw a Denon 3806, essentially a 3805, but this time with hdmi switching/video upconversion.....price? 93k....yikes!!!   ;D
