Brother Bear - The local R3 1-disc version has the 1.66 aspect ratio widescreen film whereas the R1 DVD is two-disc featuring both the 1.66 and the 2.35 aspect ratio theatrical version. Just a note for those who wants the film as original shown in theaters.

I also got Brother Bear in Landmark Music bar for 299. But while watching this movie i saw some color imperfection in some scene ( color shadow )

or is it just my old player? Have you guys scene any of these?? Thanks.

Didn't notice such shadows. Cable connection to your TV might be loose or something...

Oh thanks, just tightened my HDMI cable connection to the display and viewed Brother Bear again and find no shadows anymore..

It seems most SM, Astro have Viva DVD price lowered. At SM Manila, Sound of Music 40th Anniv, Titanic, Star Wars EP.3, Into the Blue, have their price lowered. One copy left of Sound of Music. I didn't bought anything, since I already got them...

i got Glory Road at Astroplus-MOA yesterday for P299.

earlier when i asked the sales lady, she said it was P750, but i went on looking around til i came across the only copy with the P299-sticker so i just had to get it.

yup, I saw at least 3 more copies of Narnia at 299 sa VC SM Manila. I've been frequenting the place for dvd rentals 3+1 for P20 a title. Limited titles but they have some juicy double discs(same price) like EP III, HP III, Fant4, Blade III...my hard drive is maxing out

Dami nila Narnia, all Astro I'd been to is pushing it. But I already have two (i bought at full price at launch, and another during one of those earlier sales)... so 'No, Thank You, I don't need a third copy', sabi ko...

I finally got Narnia for 299Php.
Nice digipak 2-disc packaging but the specifications at the rear cover certainly is misleading.
The photo is from a different version with slipcase and inserts while the package itself doesn't have.
And this, printed under the specifications area, is most interesting:
"English DTS 5.1 Digital Sorround Sound; Enhance for 10x9 Televisions"
Haven't they got people reviewing what goes on the cover?

The disc doesn't have a DTS track nor the option to choose any audio track.
Although I got it for 299Php, it isn't an excuse for such an "oversight".

The Incredibles - 299

Was initially very happy finding The Incredibles in one of their shelves, in fact I asked the sales lady if they have more on stock. My happiness turned into grief when I opened the DVD upon reaching our house. I noticed immediately that there was something wrong with the disc upon opening it, and to my dismay when I looked into its bottom there are A LOT OF SCRATCHES!!!!! Parang recycled DVD ito yung tipong dating for rent na nilagyan ng balot TAPOS BINENTA AS BRAND NEW

On the positive side the disc played flawlessly. But still I have a very big question PAANO NANGYARI ITO
