One thing that I admire about the the Studio v.5 series is that they can when required, go crazy with the treble. I have here a live recording of Lynyrd Skynyrd's live rendition of Free Bird (extended outro version) and man! those ride cymbals are very audible towards the end. It just adds to the musical experience. This just shows how dynamic sounding these babies are. I'm definitely impressed that I had to post this experience here.

I've listened to this song numerous times on my Audience 42 before. It was okay then, but nothing special. I'm glad about the 'Paradigm Shift' that happened to my system. hehe.  ;)

Nung inaudition ko yung digms ko, Rotel din yung ginamit pero yung AVR hindi integrated. Ganda siguro kung integrated amp  ;D

@ronin

haha paktay tayo dyan, yung price ng entry level ng Anthem e kapresyo na ng high end sa Denon  :o

sir:

just need a little help here, if you are to choose for an upgrade(s)-would it be your receiver or your speakers?  :-\

If I were to choose, I 'd upgrade my speakers. Having a good speaker will last you for years unlike receivers IMHO.

Sa case mo sir, I smell Signature  >:D hehe kayang kaya mo naman pag sabayin ang speaker and avr upgrades ;)

sir ronin:

:o in my wildest dream!!!! haha! sana mag katotoo..Signature? out of my league sir...
okay, sir, kung kayo po papipiliin, anong set-up ang gusto nyo?

option 1:
monitor series v6 + Anthem D2V (3d?) / AVM 50V av processor
or
option 2:
studio series v5 + Anthem MRX 500

my current set-up: monitor series v6 + anthem mrx 500...

sir hindi ba parang alanganin yung Monitor series (entry level) sa D2V or 50V (high end)? Wala pa akong experience dyan sa 2 av proc na yan, siguro hanggang pangarap na lang yan after reading this:

(excerpt from Home Toys):
"The Statement D2v 3D and AVM 50v 3D are currently available for order. CAD FMV for the Anthem Statement D2v 3D is $10,499 and for the Anthem AVM 50v 3D, $6,999. The CAD FMV for the 3D upgrade kit is TBA. For more information, please visit www.anthemAV.com"

 ;D

mas okay kung reference or signature ang pairing. E di ba naka Studio 60 ka na?

might buy a paradigmin the future.
for those who own signature series  how much better is the sound of the signature series s2 over the studio 60? Is the s2 bookshelf better than a tower 60?
this will be for a more movie oriented set up.

@ronin
sir, hmmm...i got this offer that i can hardly refuse...yep, i got a pair of studio 60 v5...
hi-end AV proc + entry level speakers = what do you mean alanganin sir?
entry level receiver + mid level speakers = would this be better?

Wala naman ako nakikitang problema sa high end avr+entry level speaker. IMO baka hindi maunleash yung full potential ng avr mo. Converesely, ang nakikita kong problema e baka hindi kayang i-drive ng entry level avr yung hi end speaker especially kung low sensitivity speakers.

Mag sesetup ka ba ng bago? Yun bang entry level avr na tinutukoy mo e yung MRX 500 mo? Hindi ata entry level yan  :P

For movies, I dont think there will be much difference  unless you dont have a sub. FS will generally have more bass due to its larger enclosure.

I once asked the same at AVS sometime back but ive compared monitor 7 and studio 20. Studio 20 will be better overall but thats for audio, not HT

Either speaker win win ka sir. I've read from other forums that S2 were sometimes used as surround so as Ive mentioned having a good sub will compliment for the lows. Do you know the rough estimate of these speakers?

sir, same set up, isa lang po kasi ang pwede kong i upgrade for now, either the speakers or the receiver..
well, i think, my mrx500 is an entry level avr... ::)

Sa akin lang sir, uunahin ko speakers kasi maganda na yung avr mo. Btw, i disagree na entry level ang MRX 500  :P

I have the Monitor 7 v6, but I've auditioned the 9's before. SQ-wise, they are both the same except the 9's have deeper bass. Some say Paradigm is bright, but others think its warm (like me). I guess depende sa amp na gagamitin mo. I find it bright when I auditioned it using Rotel integrated. But paired with my Denon avr, I find it warm. Try mo din :)

Pwede mo din pala tanungin si bro den1224, naka 9v6 sya. HTH

very. its there upper middle range model and equal to the bnw CM series. very good for movies and puts the monitor series to shame.

rumor is expect a higher end signature series next year aimed at bnw 800 series.
