can anyone suggest a paradigm speaker (size of the b&w601s3) that can be used with a 13wpc tube amp?

you could try to audition the studio 20 with your amp. Its sensitivity is 90dB.

Has anyone auditioned/owned the folowing?

Front: Monitor 7 or Monitor 9
Center: CC-290 or CC-390
Surround: ADP-390
Sub-woofer: PW-2100 or PW-2200

What's your feedback? :)

I was in the electronics show ( I think this is what its called  ;D) in the Mandarin hotel and I went to this room playing Casino Royale bluray and using all paradigms, Man to me it sounded really awesome, it may be the hotel room, but man it really sounded like in a moviehouse. I think  the center they were using was the 390, man its huge, and monitors 7 or 9, m not sure..but to me sounded really terrific. Anyway I'm not pro paradigm hehe, but have the lower ends and I love it hehe.. ;D

I think some dealers are getting smarter... In my location Studio Ref 60 v2 is still available, (which same I owned)  but the price now is 30% more than 6 years ago. which is supposed to be 40-60 less now due to old model and new version already out in the market.  >:(  :(

i once owned purely rotel separates in the RC versions partnered with the studio20 v3...it was good :)
slightly leaning on the bright side with a little bit of treble harshness but for the price youll pay, it would be hard to beat.

Hi,

I'm sorry, I'm tired of going through the whole thread to get an answer, but, I just want to know from anybody who have made direct comparison with b&w 705 against paradigm's studio series?  What's better sounding between the 2?  Also the price difference?

TIA.

i think i read somewhere here that it's better to skip the 7 series of the B&W because they don't sound any better compared to the 6 series, but i read good reviews of the Paradigm Studio series over at the AVS Forums.  :)

Here's a link of speakers review and face-off of old version. Both models got major ugrades from woofer size to to build. I think if they have another round the result will not far from previous.
