T2 Skyinet Ed
I've lost count how many times I've seen this. I've watched it thrice when it was first shown in the theaters. Then in all given formats -- betamax, VHS, VCD. I have double dipped in DVDs as I own two copies - the local dvd5 and then upgraded to the tin case special edition. After having watched all the new CGI effects in Hollywood, I thought T2 would be "old". Add to it the not so good reviews in bluray.com thus, my reluctant purchase of the BD. Lo and behold, T2 hasn't lost its WOW effect over me. It still entertains me no end. The action scenes, the explosions, the gunfights, the special effects are still one of kind. Indeed, James Cameron was way ahead of his time. Well, Arnold's dialogues may now seem a bit campy but the movie hasn't aged a bit. And I thought Robert Patrick was one of the coolest villains I've ever seen. Man, his legs are still fresh here and he can still gallop! Those car chase scenes, IMO, are still the best ever.
PQ is OK. Not demo quality but it's the best it has ever looked. I love it. SQ is heavenly The DTS-HD rocked my HT no end and dialogues were crisp and clear.
"I'll be back". You bet!!
