Nice seeing you too clea and nerveblocker. Quite a number of members dropped in yesterday so it was a busy day at the PinoyDVD area. We're located in Room 620, the one with a giant Superman standee watching guard, so you can't miss us.
Walked around a couple of times to check out the other stores and as usual, I can't afford the gear I want.
What's interesting: Optoma launched the MovieTime projector with the built-in DVD player and speakers which is definitely not an HT replacement but great for lugging around on trips or turning any space into an instant viewing room.
Overall, this year's show feels more intimate since we're all on one floor. If you've got a couple of hours to kill, you won't regret it. And if you really feel the need to buy something but don't have the cash to burn, why not settle for a DVD?
Btw, the Ultimate Superman set is GORGEOUS. I think it's the best looking non-Korean Region 3 set I've ever seen. The tin can and inner lenticular slipcase are both very elegantly done. The digi-pack disc holders are bound together ala
Aliens Quadrilogy R3 so it's easy to flip through all 13 discs. Php3250 may seem expensive but if you do the math, that's just Php250 per disc. Pretty good value IMHO.
