Planning to get HK receiver and will pair with either MA or Dali speakers. Can anyone give their inputs on HK/MA or HK/Dali combo? Intended amp is the HK 160. Sabi nung shop dito sa Singapore wala pa daw 160  ??? so is it worth it getting the 255 instead?

Thanks in advance!

Mas maganda ba ang hk160 compared to denon 1611? May auto convert ba ang hk 160?
Sa looks talo si denon kasi nakita ko na sya. Di masyadong maganda ung material na ginamit para sa body nya.
San gawa yung HK160? China ata ung denon.

hk receivers are also made in china.  on pure sound quality mas maganda ang hk. at least to my ears. best you pass by the shop to compare the brands. :)

Hi sir I just bought a HK AVR 160 last Saturday at AVSHOP. Planning to get the Mirage nanosat speakers on the 25th of september.

Question lang.
Automatic bang nadetetect nung receiver ung number of active speakers mo?
I dont know kung sa 5.1 or above setups mo lang sya maseselect. Please help.

Thanks!

If using only 2 speakers just set to stereo and turn the sub off. :)

Ok alam ko na. Hindi talaga pwede ma select ung ibang surround modes kapag 2.0. Tinry  kong i on ung ibang channels then ayun napalabas ko rin sila.

pinagpipilian ko kasi Denon 1611 or Harman Kardon 1600.

AFAIK, hk 160 is the model released for EU/Asia market while 1600 ang para sa North America.

im planning to upgrade my 35watts hk avr135 to 50watts of hk avr1600 from us..although still I will be using the standard dd/dts formats due dont have a blueray or HDMI source of AUDIO, just a standard upscaling dvd player only. im just wondering and wanna know as well if there's a difference in sound quality of a 50watter to 30watter?Are both avr sound the same? or just a loudness/volume increase for the 50watts? set aside the DDHD?/DTSHD formats.just the standard dd/dts and stereo only.does the 50watter better sound quality and improvement? or still the same? just an increase in volume?  it will drive same set of speakers again...
need your opinions or suggestions...tnx sirs!

If you don't see yourself going bluray or any HDMI source for the next 6mos-1yr, I suggest you keep your current receiver if it's still working. Bili ka na lang ng HDMI receiver pag meron ka na din budget to buy a new source. ;)

Hi, I also have an HK AVR 255. I'm using Bose 701 Series I speakers on the fronts which is rated 200W at 6 Ohms nominal impedance. I'm also using the VCS-10 for the center and the 301 V and 301 IV for the surrounds, so far no problem.
If I listen to a music (MP3, CD or FM), I only engaged 2 channel listening on the AVR.
HK rated their AV receivers with all channels driven as compared to mostly Japanese brands. It can handle the 250W rated speakers in my opinion but you need to know that when you increase the volume of (> -20dB) you might encounter clipping. By the way, what is the nominal impedance of the speakers? 100-150W speakers should be fine...
