Good for you... my interest in DVDs only blossomed lately, so when that R3 DVD comes out., I am still not into collecting them yet.

If my copy is like that I probably would not be as interested in double-dipping too.

But mine is that R1 flipper, and I hate flippers as are more prone to scratches...

Hopefully, the packaging of this forthcoming one would be just as nice.  And it's price is not too steep... currently $18.99 preorder at Amazon...

Yup, this is what I got.  ;D

Why no double dip Mr. Hankey? Didn't like the film too much?

It's definitely not one of my favorites, and the only things that would get me to double dip would be a significant addition to the film itself (and I don't think there's any way in hell this is an "extended version") or a new retrospective documentary featuring interviews with cast members I actually want to see again (And... I really don't think I need to see anyone in this cast ever again.  ;D)

Just like My Fair Lady. Although I really like that musical, I didn't upgrade to the double disc version, since the initial release had a commentary, a good documentary, and the alternate vocal tracks performed by Audrey Hepburn already. I saw no need to waste money buying a version where the only significant addition was a documentary on how the film was restored for archiving purposes. Who cares? That's completely useless to me. I'm a moviegoer and a physician - not a film archivist.  ;D

Did they make significant video changes in this new edition? 'Coz the R1 single disc Special Edition is like the dirtiest, spottiest DVD I have, surpassing "The Exorcist: The Beginning".
