depends on what sofware your going to use, the oppo is a 1080p HD player and you can't play blu-ray with it, although its cheap you can buy it at $200 usd at the net. The ps3 on the other hand only plays blu-ray and games, bt it has the more fuctions than oppo. both palyers has a wonderful video reproduction and both has upsacaling capabilities. With regards w/ the upscaling capabilities of both pioneer players it's minimal to tell the difference from both units, it neither plays blu-ray nor hd films. for me ps3 it the way to go.

They told me nga, problem w/ the samsung unit maluwag yung hdmi connection. They tested 5 units already and lahat ganun... sad to say yung free hdmi nya maybe not applicable sa unit. We'll try to use other connections. Ask ko sa client ko regarding xbox repair. Di kasi nag punta nung saturday.
Sir Jeff, I have that unit which I bought sa US a month and a half ago. Gusto mo I can bring the unit there para ma compare natin dun sa stocks mo, kasi mine is working naman. And no problem naman with the HDMI. Sa ganun if maayos, yung mga fellow PDVD members makabili na ng unit na ito
