Medjo mahirap ang requirements mo sir ng BS. Karamihan kasi back-firing yun port kasi masikip na sa harap. Nandun na yun drivers...

Pwede ka din ata magpagawa pero baka hindi magkasya sa budget mo. Can't you make room sa likod maski 8" lang. That way you'll have better choices.

I can think of the following options:

Wharfedale 9.sr / 10.sr (surround speaks)

Mordaunt Short Premiere

Masmaganda daw kung front firing yun ports. Dikit sa wall kasi. And sana wag daw malaki.

hindi pala sya advisable. from what i read a-audio bookshelves is back ported. any speakers you could recommend na medyo maliit size and lower than 5k? will be used as rear wall mounted sperakers. thanks!

sir Stagea nasa magkano kaya yung Mordaunt-Short Premiere dito sa atin? back ported ba sya?

sir Nelson mga 3" from the wall ok na ba for back ported speakers?

parang sa baba yung itsura ng setup na gusto ko for the rear speakers. panget ba pag ganyan pwesto?

Juantotre,

The Premiere 302 costs 3.9k a pair sa Robinsons Pioneer.

Sealed enclosure sya and pwede idikit sa wall. They are also very solidly built. Halos tunog Proac pag kinatok mo, if you know what I mean. hehehe.

Proacs have solidly built enclosures. I think Master Guru Stagea meant was the enclosure of the MS (Mordaunt Short) speakers are well built. And yes, MS are very ok.

@juantotre

Master Nelson is correct. The MS Premiere sattelites have well-built enclosures. It sounds very solid if you knock on the surfaces. I'm comparing them to ProAcs, because ProAc makes very "dead" enclosures.

If you haven't heard gear aside from JBLs and Boses, you may want to start exploring. There are so many brands out there.

Hi!

I am planning to upgrade from my Creative DDTS-100 and 5.1 Logitech Z5300 setup to something with better sound quality. Coming from a HTIB setup, I am a complete noob in choosing my next setup.

My HT room is small (10ft x 10ft x 7ft) so I am looking for a compact setup. I like listening to acoustic, jazz and R&B.  I will also use it for watching bluray movies and a bit of Xbox/PS3 gaming.

What I am considering so far:

A. Front  : Polk TSi 100
    Center: Polk CS 10
    Rear:    Mordaunt Short Premiere 302
    Sub:     Polk PSW 111
    Receiver: ???

Price is fine. I would have gone for the TSi 100 for the rears but they were too large for the shelf.

B. Front and Rear: Mordaunt Short Premiere 302
    Center:           Mordaunt Short Premiere 304
    Sub:               Mordaunt Short Premiere 309
    Receiver: ???

Price is great, but I don't know how it stacks up against the Polk

C. Front and Rear: Wharfedale Diamond 10.0
    Center:            Wharfedale Diamond 10.CC
    Sub:                Wharfedale Diamond 10.SX-SUB
    Receiver: ???

Not sure how this one stacks up against either the Polk or M.S.

I'd appreciate anyone's input on which option is better, or if there are better options I have not considered.  Receiver recommendations are welcome.

My budget for this upgrade is between P30k-60k.

TIA!

Rene

Hi, Go for the Polk Audio TSi100 for fronts, CS10 for center and OWM3 for the surrounds. You can also go for the PSW111 sub. Suggest you hook this up to the Marantz SR4003.

Thanks for the advice!  What's the SRP for the OWM3?

Why don't you consider the following POLK AUDIO speakers:"
- TSi400 floorstanding
- CS20 center
- TSi100 surrounds

these speakers work well with your yamaha and will fit into your price range.
