There was nothing on the cover indicating it to be unrated or unseen or uncut, and given the track record of Magnavision, films released in both R and Unrated versions on R1 usually end up only with the R rated version for R3 when nothing is indicated on the cover (like 8mm2, Team America, and Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, to name just a few).

I'm curious - how did you check? If it was based on what's printed on the jacket, I think that's likely a misprint. Otherwise, I don't see why they'd have both 895 and 475 single-disc versions available.

Well, there was no 895 version being sold anymore and the 475 version even had a sticker saying it was previous P895. How did i check? i asked the magna rep if i could check the dvd itself and saw that it was dvd 9.

I must say Viva's "FRIENDLIER"(not friendly still but friendlier) price point of 550 is commendable. However when I saw the packaging and held it in my hand, I felt this should have been sold at 299.

I might check out The Guardian. I didn't see the movie but I'm willing to risk it for 550. I would however say an outright no if they had priced it at their regular cost of 750.

EDIT: The features on The Devil Wears Prada seem to be identical to the R2 pala.. It has the ‘International Fashion Editor’ featurette listed on the back which is not in the R1..

BTW, World Trade Center is scheduled for March 6 according to a poster I saw at Odyssey..

I couldn't resist buying Open Season and The Devil Wears Prada in their original, non-sale price. The former for its packaging, and the latter because I really like the film. Now I'm eagerly waiting for Casino Royale and The Departed.
