ATT?
« on: Feb 06, 2007 at 03:21 AM »
Hi guys, update lang...

I tried to do some suggestion for stereo music listening.  And that's by using analog digital cables for stereo instead of digital coax as per Sir Matz. Bakit may lumalabas na ATT symbol sa AVR ko on some disk's or parts of the song pag nag play ako, may lumalabas or umiilaw na ATT sa reciever ko. "BASED ON MANUALS", this occurs daw when there is a very "STRONG SIGNAL" being processed by the reciever? I should activate ATT daw to "ON" to weaken the signal for it to be on a more compatible signal, ano un? If i activate it may songs na humihina ang volume compared sa iba. Does this means na pati ung sound quality kinucompress din nya, like a 96khz song, pwedeng icompress sa mas compatible format na 48khz pag d equipt ung avr?

Anybody knows about this one?

ATT is an abbreviation for "Attenuation". It lower the volume to compensate for powerful signals that can cause clipping at higher volumes, possibly destroying your speakers in the long run. It's not a form of compression. It's a feature that automatically lowers the volume level when a potentially clipping signal is received. You can choose not to activate it, just be wary about your playback volume level.

it's actually a protection system installed in ur avr for ur speakers... it attenuates or  eases incoming strong signal to avoid damaging ur speakers...
