This has happened to me a couple of times and usually the reason is that the sender failed to "label" the package correctly. In my case, the package was labeled as "Johnny Air Cargo - NY" only, without my name. When this happens, Johnny Air wouldn't know who the package is for, and they just keep it until it gets claimed. In order to claim it, you would need to supply them with the merchant/sender's name and address, tracking number, etc. Also, don't discount the fact that they may have texted you at a wrong/different number. This has happened to me as well. So the package was ready for pick up na pala without your knowing it. Hope this helps!

I only know the number of their makati branch as that's where I regularly transact. 7503821. Just tell your story and they will connect you to the person in charge.

Hi guys. I'm a newbie here at PinoyDVD as well as in online shopping. I'm really eyeing for an iPhone 4 but since this is not yet locally available, I'm really having a hard time to get one from abroad since I don't know anyone who's living in Hong Kong where iPhone 4 is cheaper. Can I ask if anyone has already tried ordering online for an iPhone 4 and shipped it here using JAC? How was it and for how much? These are the dimensions I got for the iPhone 4:

Length = 7.5 inches
Width = 5 inches
Height = 3.5 inches
Weight = 0.648 kg = 1.429 lbs

What is the estimate amount that I will be charged by JAC based on these dimensions? Cause I don't know other surcharges that will be charged by JAC. And will I don't have a hard time dealing with our bureau of customs regarding taxes and other charges? Will it be handled by JAC for me? Thank you all and more power to PinoyDVD! :)

JAC will handle everything for you. Base on your specs, assuming the shipping weight is 2 lbs (round up) the total estimated JAC fee you will have to pay is around P800 only (as of today's rate). It's best to give some allowance that your item weight could reach 3 lbs depending on the box size & packaging. So the final cost may between P800-P1,100 (to be safe). JAC's charge is based on volume weight.

Hi. Thanks for this price estimate. So is this all I have to pay to JAC? I have tried to back read some of the posts on this thread and I saw that others are being charged for handling fees. Will I also be charged with this? Thanks. :)

Yup. I am from Philmug. How'd you find out? hehe :D Are you also a MUGger? :)

Just a quick question how long does it take for you to get a text from them that the item has arrived? Scenario would be Amazon Free Super Saver Shipping 5-7 ???

Yup, the estimated cost is all in na.

For my purchase in Amazon using the free shipping, usually I got it within 14 working days. However sometimes it could be faster or slight delay depending on the situation.

That's strange. Miss Aura has just informed today there's no VAT. Bro, are you outside Metro ba?

Manila Paul, kinuha ko sa Makati kasi dun ako kumukuha ng packages. Sige inquire na lang ulit ako sa kanila para sa mga naiwan kong packages na may VAT. Yung kinuha ko wala pa daw eh.

Tapos may 1.5% interest sur charge after one month na di kinukuha. Hassle!

Thanks

I just came from JAC Makati. I collected my 3 packages. All at the discounted rate with non-VAT.

Norman, I suggest you try contacting Ms. Aura or Ms. Leiden for clarification. There could be some miscommunication among the JAC staff.  :-[
