I've read from another forum that JAC usually charge a premium fee for certain items (eg: Laptop $100, iPhone $50). Anybodt tried sending BD player or AVR? Are they also charging premium fee on top of the handling & the per pound charges?

They don't charge a premium for BD or AVR.

yup, no premium charge for players. got my HD DVD player last dec. thru JAC (aguirre br., makati) wala naman silang dagdag na charge.

how much does it cost to ship lets say a 8 lb laptop box from manila to cagayandeoro??? Is it true that they charge a 100 dollar premium fee??

what about perfumes?? how much do it cost??

just got my cd shipment today from JAC. After all these years, finally met Aura and Leyden. Ganda pala nila!

they aised it from 5.5? per pound?

i presume this is air frieght.. what about ocean freight?

yes, this year lang. $6.5 and minimum 2 pounds if your not pdvd member.

got my shipment of 7 hddvds safe and sound, medyo napamahal lang multiple packages kasi. oh well, ok parin sa huli. they did not charge me extra handling na kasi it arrived at their new york office within a week. kaya oks na rin. hirap pag hddvds since paubos na sila, its hard to get it shipped together kaya next time mga box sets na bibilhin ko.

Hello! I am thinking of buying the playseat evolution, probably thru amazon. Not sure how bulky or heavy it is when shipped. Any idea how much will be the shipping thru JAC? Do you have any recommendation? Is it available locally?

if its not electronic, jac charges by the pound, $6 per pound for pdvd members, plus $5 handling (per transaction). so if its bulky, it will cost you.

i suggest you use balikbayan boxes if its bulky, it will take a little bit longer (about a month via sea vs. jac's 2-4 days via air) but definitely cheaper.

i think it still is, but you will have to negotiate the price if you ship there.

1. Your shipment is not limited to DVDs as long as the item is not restricted, prohibited or banned.
2. Your special rate as a PINOYDVD member applies to shipments forwarded to JAC-NY and JAC-HK (we have branches in LAX & SFO).
3. Yes, JAC-HK exists run by 1 staff, Eric Manuel. Suppliers / forwarders must call his mobile first prior to any deliveries.
4. Minimum of 1 lb. per invoice at $ 6.00/lb + discounted handling fee of $ 5.00 for a week's shipment from JAC-NY (received from Monday to Saturday).

Question lang sana which may be relevant to everyone here: Starting June 1, Amazon will start adding NY state taxes to any items shipped to NY. Di ko pa alam how much the taxes will be. In case the taxes are high, can we ship to JAC LAX or SFO instead? Magkano rates nyo if shipment will be via LAX or SFO? Mas mahal ba as compared to JAC NY?
