hi sir qguy!

thanks sa reply!

but the top plate of the stand is a 4mm metal sheet...
if i put in an mdf board, it would look thick...

im imagining of a 1 to 2mm non-skid cloth or tape...
any ideas out there?

wait a minute.. anong purpose for that material?

My stands has a metal plate, I drilled holes on the top plate and bolted my speakers to the stand.. NON SKID !!!... but my speakers has this capability, it has holes on the bottom to accept bolts.

My idea for bolting the loudspeakers to the stand is to prevent the Bookshelf from vibrating/moving hence bolting to the stands should work. Ever heard of Blu Tac ?.. its a clay like material that you put in between the stand and the loudspeakers to prevent it from moving. Avaialable at ACE hardware

XXX...,

nice diy'ed stand. did you weld a rod on the bottom of the top plate or it is also threaded same as the bottom plate? ang rod mo na gamit ay full threaded ba? plan ko mag diy sa rod gamit ang 8mm round bar then weld a bolt sa dulo. dagdag tanong ko lang ito sa pm mo earlier.

heto ang gagawin ko when i got time ;) with wood trims jas lyk my t-amp chassis ;D

thanks

thanks again for the info.

how did u connect the welded bolt underneath the top plate and the threaded metal rod?

sa other end naman walang problem kasi expose ng konti ang threaded rod together with the locking nut. may spikes naman na aangat para di tumama sa sahig.

i am now planning of having a 2x4 rectangular tubing soldered on each sides to the top and bottom plates. ma concealed naman sya when installing the wood trims. pag tingnan sa front walang welding connections.

the bolt was fully welded under the upper plate...
then nakakabit yung threaded metal rod ko sa kanya...

i did not opt to weld this because initially, i thought
i need to sand-fill my speaker stand.

turns out stable na sya...

di kaya nut ang naka weld underneath the top plate sir? where the threaded rod will mate the nut. sakto pa naman siguro ang thread play to make it stable. nanghuhula lang ako sir kasi kelangan merong union/coupling if u connect a bolt and a threadeded rod ;)
