Magnavision has not release any Steelbook yet, so I doubt it. It would have been cool though.

Given Magnavision's track record with gift sets, I am not setting my hopes too high. And probably they would price it to the stratosphere, they have a such a record...

Well, it seems that the I'm the only one here who does not want to get any extra trinket to come with my DVDs. If it affects the price (and usually, it does), I'd rather get a DVD w/o any additional toy, bookmark, notebook, whatever. Honestly, I have so many of these things na nakatambak lang sa bahay. I still even have the Spider-Man 2 beanbag that's collecting dust right now. I don't want to dispatch of it since it will "affect" my DVD collection since it came with the Spider-Man 2 gift set. If they're going to release a deluxe edition of Transformers, I'd rather have have something that would really complement the DVD (i.e. steelbook, extra features et.). That's why I opted tor the steelbook 300 instead. Wala naman ako gagain dun sa helmet. But that's just me. Peace!

Well, basta steelbook ok na siya. My wish last april for the 300 to be in steelbook came true.

If this is a magnavision release, that could be asking a lot though.

well, historically, Magna hasn't released anything that really garners the interest of many in quite some time...definitely not in the magnitude of a couple of Warner releases. Let's just hope that Magna will see this opportunity as their time to satisfy collectors' wants. But of course, it'll be dictated by the regions release.

MAGNAVISION people, now is the time...this release will be very profitable if done right. All eyes are on you by every potential buyer of this release. Do them proud!!!

If Magna monitors this forum/thread as diligently as what I read Warner does, they just might do that if there are many wanting steelbooks.

But I think it's not Magna's packaging decision, but more the US distributor Dreamworks if they'd release it in steelbook. Just so happens that Warner is also the US distributor releasing some titles in steelbook like the Departed and 300 and don't employ local distributors.

Lenticular would really make sense. The Autobot insignia changing into a Decepticon insignia would be cool. Or, Transformers in the cover changing into their vehicular forms would be great.

KEWLLL!!! Parang yung sa Transformers card game. I was actually referring to just lenticular packaging. The image transforming into another image, pero pwede na rin ito. What a very imaginative way of releasing the DVD. I hope they release it in R3.

Unfortunately, they don't accept order from the Phil. So the only way to get this R4 set is tru a friend or relative in Australia...

Hopefully R3 or R1 will release similar packaging.

Got word on Cybph that r3 will also have the transforming package. Looks like there will be a steelbook and a regular 2-disc edition as well. Any news if Astro will have some kind of promo. I can't imagine that they won't.

Also visited Cybertron Philippines & based on their post, there will be 4 versions of the TF DVD to be released locally: 1-disc, 2-disc, steelbook, & 2-disc transforming package.
