Makikisali lang din po. Also bought a 42PV70 from the Trinoma Theaterworks yesterday, for delivery by Wednesday. Judging from the comments here, it looks like it was a good choice. Mahirap na atang magpahuli, baka maubos...

Someone (a lady with the store, forgot to get her name) also suggested to get the Bada line conditioner with the TV, pero di pa ako kumuha. I can also hook up a voltage regulator to that kung may 110W na kelangan isaksak, tama ba?

I can't tune in to cable channels above ch.13. In my Sony CRT TV, there is a button that enables the TV to tune in to cable channels. I can't seem to find one in the 42PV70.

Hi boybi!

Jeff's staff did the tuning for me. But I think they just picked the auto-tuning option. see p. 9 and 22 of your manual.

I did it na. I had to choose CATV pala. Didn't noticed it the first time.

My DVD player now outputs only at 480p. If I'll use a 720p player via HDMI with ordinary DVDs, will the PQ improve? And will the improvement in PQ be noticeable?

Di ba the 42PV70 have an internal upscaler/downscaler?

I watched Transformers with black bars immediately after setting up the PV70, wala naman IR after I finished watching the movie. (Buti nalang as I forgot about the break-in period)

how many tvs are connected to your cable? if you have more than one connected (dont forget your smart neighbors  ;D) try a cable signal booster to improve your pq.

Marami ngang naka connect na TVs sa cable but I'm already using a cable booster.

Btw, is there a cable booster made by well known companies? Baka mas maganda ang output nito. All of the cable boosters that are being sold are made by unknown companies kasi.

unfortunately, i haven't had a chance to see a 40" and higher LCD nor a plasma for standard cable viewing yet. i wish there's a store that would allow us to do this.

was just surprised by boybi's post re: the PV70's graininess in cable viewing.

OT:
have a sony bravia 32V200 and its cable viewing is excellent so no complains here. :)

i've held off on buying a plasma due to the potential burn in problem. tapos me break in period pa. it doesn't suit my need for now. that said, might buy another LCD for Xmas. :)

Syempre lahat naman ng 32 lcd any brand kahit MAG, Viewsonic YES or Ivision sobrang linaw ang cable reception eh, we are talking about big sreens here. 40"-up. ;) Base on experience from consumers after buying a 40" lcd onwards they will complain bakit ang labo ng tv nila or they will tell mas malinaw pa yung reception ng 32" nila vs the one they got etc...etc. And after they bought several lcd screens they will later realized that they bought the wrong units. Eto naman ang sasabihin nila...." sana plasma nalang binili ko, sa laki ng gastos ko may bluray player na sanang kasama" ::)
No burn in issue 10th gen na PANASONIC bro, 11th gen na nga tayo next year eh. Burn in happened before sa Samsung plasma and Sony that is why they stop manufacturing plasma. Way back 2003
it was the last units sold from these companies that has that burn in issue, and today its 2007 na.  ;D

Why do i know??? because i sold a lot from them ( Samsung & Sony). ;)

Nemesis, merong ba kayong bentang good quality cable boosters?
