Is this model is already a Full HD or just the same with SONY'S misleading 1080P capable which is not really a full hd?

it's also a 1080p capable w/c means that it can recieve 1080p signals but will output it into its native resolution.
other tvs that aren't 1080p capable won't let you view sources w/ 1080p signals.  :)

Guys help naman. Nagupscale ba ng video ang xbox360? Kasi when I'm watching dvd on my 42pv70 using the xbox360 ang ganda ng pq pero when I'm watching using my pio dv-300 hindi ganun kaganda yung pq. Both were connected using component cable. Yung xbox360 is nakaoutput sya at 720p pero pag nagplay naman na yung movie e lumilitaw na 480p lang. Yung pio dv-300 naman nakaprogressive scan. Hope someone could enlighten me on the difference between the two.

The XBOX 360 outputs HD (High Definition) PQ at 720p.  The DVD player only outputs SD (Standard Definition) PQ at 480p which the Panny's Vreal II circuitry then upscales to 720p or 768p.  Since the XBOX 360 outputs at a higher native resolution using more picture data, it should yield better PQ compared to upscalers which simply simulate HD PQ using around half the picture data.

Thanks

suggest buy a dvd player that upconverts to at least 1080i. mayron mga reasonably priced dvd upconverting player like pioneer dv400/600 (1080p) and philips  ;) both upconverts using HDMI bihira na yung ng upconvert to component. Pero if you like the later look for Samsung HD841  ;)

sayang naman yung Plasma mo if you can not maximize its resolution. you can read also dun sa branded dvd player thread so you can have an idea of what to buy. hope this helps  ;)

Pioneer DV400 is also a good one to partner with PV70. It can upscale movie to 1080p. Without upscaling, your DVD movie will look like VCD quality. You should utilize hdmi streaming for better PQ.

The whole frame is matte black, but the lower part where the speaker is enclosed is a piano-finished.

got an amp with 5.1 inputs only, i think dv600 is what i need.
will the pc provide same PQ as the DV600 using DVI to HDMI adaptor, and powerdvd? at what settings?
