As mentioned by Munskie & others, the player does not support HDi interactive menu for HD DVDs. So you will miss out some of the nice experiences offered by HD DVD discs. Also, some consumers claim the player has problem outputting at 1080p.
Price is still too high + high risk?
It's better to wait until a newer dual format player to be released in the market that meet all the necessary requirements. Or as others suggested perhaps it's better & cheaper to get two separate players?
