Original Halimaw - is a passive subwoofer wherein the owner chooses his own 12" sub and external amplification.

Baby Halimaw - is an all-in-one active subwoofer using Anthony's 12" subwoofer and plateamp.

biwire uses one amp but uses two sets of wires to feed low & high freq inputs of the passive crossover (per channel)
source --> amp --> wires --> high freq crossover --> mid/high freq driver(s)
                     |--> wires --> low freq crossover --> woofer (or midwoofer)

bi-amp uses active crossover and two amps (per channel)
source --> active crossover --> high freq amp --> mid/high freq driver(s)
                                      |--> low freq amp --> woofer (or midwoofer)

That’s the simplest explanation and diagram I can provide, Google na lang po for more details on biamping & biwiring. I am very much convinced that bi-amping could be sonically superior to biwiring.

kung gayon, mas matipid ang speakers kasi walang x'over pero mas magastos kasi kailangan ng active x'over at 3amps.

kung naka-attend ka ng hifi show nung 2005 nakita mo sana sa room ng amx. at kung buhay ka na nung 80s meron din sa isang malaking seller ng audio gears noon.

I visited Anthony late last night & borrowed his new center speaker and also borrowed a modified Sakura amp for evaluation.

The center speaker is composed of 2 6.5" midrange & 2 tweeters. Measurements as follows:
L= 26"
W=12" (13" with grille)
H=10"

Weight = 11.5kg or 25lbs.

First 2 pics shows my B&W LCR60s3 on the left & Anthony's on the right:






Here it is on my rack - its huge!




I believe it needs more tweaks as I was surprised to find out that my B&W LCR60 with only 5.25" midranges was more powerful, open and transparent.

Anthony - kindly check the sensitivity as well as the crossover of the new 6.5" center speaker, baka may work around pa.

If not, one may need to re-calibrate their AVRs to a higher gain setting.

Finally! got the chance of hooking up one of Sir Anthony's creation the baby halimaw subwoofer, and boy it HUGE!  , it responded well naman to my low-end avr with a few tweakings lang. Pa-pm nalang po ng specs pala..thanks so much for this item, sa uulitin po.

sir same impedance ba? kung mas mababa kasi impedance ng B&W it will draw more current (more current >> higher power >> louder). but if it's the same impedance mas mababa nga sensitivity ng a-audio center.
