if i may add, ewan ko lang baka mahina lang ang pandinig ko pero meron akong FS at BS na nakakabit sa parehong avr at nakaset sa "small" pareho... para sa akin di malayo ang tunog lalo na kung may kasamang sub.
meron din akong isa pang set ng BS na nung una ay gamit sa HT at kulang talaga sa bass kaya sobrang bitin kung walang sub PERO nung ginamit ko na sa music using dared mp5 (palang yan ha ) nagulat ako sa laki ng improvement. tapos nung pinalitan ko ng better player lalo pang lumabas ang bass.
in other words, di lang sa FS maririnig ang hanap mong bass, meron din sa BS. barya baryang ideya lang po.

Daming iba-ibang factors talaga that will influence the speakers output & sonics - gears, wires, environment, etc.
I remember last year when I auditioned the B&W CM1 kina tropang SGT - Sonny, Butch & myself were smiling faces when we heard that little speaker just having a 5" midrange. Very detailed mids & highs and bass was surprisingly good.
We thought that maybe its bigger brother the CM5 would be a lot better since it has a 6.5" midrange - when SGT had stocks the following week, I trooped back to audition but somehow it lacked the magic that the CM1 held. We used the same parameters used in auditioning the CM1, but somehow it became boring & uninteresting. Even Butch mentioned that whatever sparkle the CM1 had was lessened considerably in the CM5.
Well, true enough - the CM1 garnered more better reviews in the net compared to the CM5. Lucky for us consumers, the CM1 is cheaper pa!
