anong ginagawa nito?  same ba ng crossover?

I agree with you brader ;)
Daming iba-ibang factors talaga that will influence the speakers output & sonics - gears, wires, environment, etc.

I remember last year when I auditioned the B&W CM1 kina tropang SGT - Sonny, Butch & myself were smiling faces when we heard that little speaker just having a 5" midrange. Very detailed mids & highs and bass was surprisingly good.

We thought that maybe its bigger brother the CM5 would be a lot better since it has a 6.5" midrange - when SGT had stocks the following week, I trooped back to audition but somehow it lacked the magic that the CM1 held. We used the same parameters used in auditioning the CM1, but somehow it became boring & uninteresting. Even Butch mentioned that whatever sparkle the CM1 had was lessened considerably in the CM5.

Well, true enough - the CM1 garnered more better reviews in the net compared to the CM5. Lucky for us consumers, the CM1 is cheaper pa!  ;)

Capacitor yan bro. It acts as a first order high pass filter on its own kung naka-series sa driver. The crossover in your pioneer also has a high pass side, which is what feeds your tweeter.

polypropylene capacitor hooked up by platinum coated alligator clips and 99.99 silver wires suspended in air. this ensures freedom from vibration, internal cabinet resonances and magnetic flux from the inductor coil for the smoothest high frequency response.  ;D

Here's a few pics of the 15" coax used for HT by Anthony's client in Ayala Alabang.
3 15" used for left, right & center duties.
2 10" planetas used for rear/surround.
2 15" subwoofers do the low frequency duties.
Platform/racks custom made by DIY Master Anthony as well.

Anthony's new 6.5" coax being evaluated for audio. It will be used for a bedroom setup.

Mr. Anthony just delivered the inch sealed sub that I ordered.  Haven't set it up pero sa cosmetic finish palang panalo na.  I could slap on a Dynaudio nameplate on it and it would not look out of place with my Audience 42s. . . lets hope they integrate well. ;D

Thanks bossing!
