Anthony, thanks for waiting last Saturday. I'm happy to finally meet you in person and bring home one of your speakers. Naka set-up na ang Clone 1SC BS, laki ng difference ng sound from wharfe 9.1. Noticeable yung improvement sa clarity ng string instruments. Yung vocals super linaw, parang nasa harapan lang ang mga singers. Ang sarap talaga tumunog ng clone, hindi nakakapagod sa tenga. Nabuhay ang mga CDs ko!

Next time yung DTX center speaker naman ang palitan ko ng clone center.

sir thanks sa 6.5 coax na minodify natin to 8 inch coax, thanks din sa 6.5 tablette fs, waiting na lang ako sa center tablette na 6.5 inch.

Hi masters!

I just finished reading this thread from page 1 and I must say madami dami talaga ako natutunan (I kept on googling the terms, a lot of them sounded Greek to me hehe)

I hope I'm not yet late in asking for some advice. Plan ko din kasi magsetup ng simple HT sa room ko. Room size is approx 4m x 5m. Ang plan kong mga gears are:
- 32" TV
- NMT (Xtreamer Pro)
- AVR (Onkyo 508 / Denon 1611 / HK 160)
- PC connected via HDMI
- PS3
- A-audio speakers (sub)

Ang plan ko lang kasi na budget for the AVR and speakers is 40k. so siguro mga 20k for the speakers (and hopefully with a decent sub). Will be using it 75% movies and 25% music. Can you guys give me an idea what set of speakers to get from sir Anthony? I'm still out of the country pero gusto ko lang makakuha ng advice para magkaroon ng idea.

Coax for center & fronts. Bipole for surrounds.

Pahabol advice, if you're really into movies & if budget permits, get a bigger TV. IMHO, ang 32" flat wide screen TV parang 27"-29" lang na square CRT. Pero kung 4-5 feet ka lang from your watching position, pwede na ang 32". you might end up upgrading to a bigger tv kasi later.

+1 ako sa suggestion ni sir Nelson on the tv. We have almost the same room size, slightly bigger lang iyong sa akin. Initially 32" lang din plano ko, but I finally went to get a 42". Nung una parang ang laki pero habang nasasanay ka tingin mo maliit na

. Kya eto, i have an itch to get an even bigger panel or a projector.

Regarding your plan for the HT setup, I think that's descent enough as long as di ka mag-aaudition ng higher models. I started on almost the same budget, I spent 16k on the entry level receiver and 26k on the 5.1 speaker bundle.

By the way, sa labas din ako nagtatrabaho ngayon saan country ka sir ngayon?

Exactly my sentiments and same reason na din kung bakit naka PJ na ako. Bitin na ang 42" sa movies lalo kapag action. Busog ang tenga, busog na din ang mata.

Sir thanks for the reply. So kasya na sa 20k budget ko yan? How about the subs sir? Hindi na kaya ma-squeeze sa given budget?

As for the TV, nakabili na kasi ako dito sa Qatar. Gamit ko sa room dito sa camp. Pero after ko masetup yung sound system ko eventually magpapalit din ako ng TV (the ililipat ko yung 32" sa ibang room). Medyo kapos na kasi sa budget ngayon.

Btw sir, medyo OT na pero ano kayang receiver ang bagay don sa suggested na speakers niyo?

You might have to stretch your budget for a bit, say 45-50K for your receiver and 5.1 speaker set-up. Even if you go A-audio, 20K might not be enough to cover it if includes the sub. HK160 is a good amp to pair it with and it sells at 25.5K from avshop in this forum. This is what I'm using to drive my 5.1 Proac clone set-up. Cheers!
