Sir Anthony, i would like to ask if your tablette series of speakers would be a good match to my entry level pioneer receiver since i'm wanting more from my current setup.  :D

Would also like to know where i can audition your creations. TIA.  ;)

would an a-audio tablette center can easily timber match a wharfe evo30 FS using audyssey? i wanted to use a bigger center speaker with 6.5" woofers to match the evo30.

how about replacing a wharfe DFS with an a-audio dipoles for surround (side) duties?

need your suggestions guys. i'm eager to try these a-audio speakers. who knows i may change the rest to a-audio if i find them better than the wharfe evo.

Audyssey alone can't make them match, but you might get close enough with the higher audyssey versions. :)

higher version meaning EQing per channel...?

Meaning higher resolution filters. Audyssey MultEQ XT and MultEQ XT32 have very high resolution filters that should be enough to reasonably flatten the response of most speakers. Think of it as having more EQ bands affecting narrower frequency spreads... that allows it to focus on more (and finer) response anomalies.

MultEQ and 2EQ only does very basic room and speaker compensation.

Ganda pala. passive xover na lang ang variable or limitation.

What would probably help out brader Weng more is if there are members here who had experience with both Wharfe evo30s and a-audio speakers to narrate sonic differences.

However, without sounding bias - I am confident that a-audio speakers and its many variants could be at par or hopefully better than your current speakers ;)

It may not correct this in terms of phase shift, but it should also compensate for the frequency reponse issues caused by this.

GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH AAUDIO!
« Reply #1303 on: Sep 18, 2010 at 05:00 PM »
Just wanted to put in a positive word for Anthony.  A year ago on this same month, Ondoy ruined a perfectly great pair of vintage speakers.  This was a pair of Fanfare Audio Preludes (circa 1980s) from a now defunct Norwegian company.  These were practically given up for loss until I came across a post about Anthony's restoration of a set of speakers in another forum.  Three weeks ago I met up with Anthony and he agreed to take up the challenge of restoring these speakers.

Today I picked these up and thanks to Anthony, the cabinet  has been faithfully restored/refinished to its original specs and I heard them sing for the first time again after a year of silence! These speakers match up so well with a SET amp and I'm so glad we have talented folks like Anthony who can resurrect audio gear that would have been otherwise chalked up as a loss.  Maraming salamat Anthony!!!

+1. Aside from having excellent sound quality, these speakers really last. My present 7 speaker set-up has been with me for more than 3 years already and they sing better than ever. I have a pair of floorstanders that has been with me for more than 5 years. The performance will surpass the amount you pay for them. You'll never go wrong with these babies.

yes. before i was all aaudio.. got the 3 way, then tried branded for a while. i got tired of the branded speaker in 1 month, it was too colored. good thing the guy who bought my 3 way decided to sell them. thru a nice deal, i got them back and i am very happy with my custom aaudios. the guy who got the branded speaker sold them na rin and bought 3 pairs from anthony.

mabuhay ang pinoy !

oh.. one thing doc mel why a's speakers last is cause they have no irritating qualities. i.e. - stuff that makes you go burn out. they're so transparent to the source. good stuff doc ! been 7 or 8 years no ?
