Topic: NAD Distributor in the Phils (?)

I dropped by an AV shop in Gale last saturday to listen to the quintet only to find out during my conversation with a sales rep that they will be distributing NAD products in the phils.    

although i'm not sure if they are really a distributor or simply a dealer (the newly updated NAD website does not indicate a phil distributor), the prices he showed were "COMPETITIVE" i.e. true to NAD's reputation as budget components.

what's the name of the shop??? i think wala pang distributor ng NAD here in the philippines...just bought a NAD T761...pero pinabili ko sa hongkong...what NAD products are they carrying now??? para mabisita ko, hehehe!

Where is GALE?

Last time I saw NAD in Manila is at Audio Visual Driver.  But I think they merely grey import it.

i think it's call audio video shop.  it's in the 2nd floor.  he showed the price list for the t741 and two dvd player models (forget the numbers).  

btw, magkano mo nakuha yung t761 sa hk?

the t761 when converted to peso is probably around P 45k to P 48k...AV driver in shangrila is selling the t760 at a much higher price around P 55k...

what products are they carrying??? you're talking about galleria right???

i think they also carry klipsch and definitive tech plus a variety of japanese brands

Ako rin bibili ako ng NAD for my stereo speaker setup eh.

a L40 - the cd player/ fm tuner combo. 28,000 php
and C270 2x 120 watts amplifier. 22,000 php

and either Energy connoiseur C9s or Paradigm Reference s/80 for speakers. or Even B&W 605s. pero not sure. gonna do some serious auditioning first.

approx 50- 60k each speaker.

but that's before discount!!

with the C270, you might want to try the acoustic energy AE 309 or perhaps the dynaudio contour 1.1-- this is a bookshelf but comes close to a floorstander.

C270 is 600cdn

I am going back to the phils come december of this yr for good na. I might just buy the cd/tuner combo + amp here. Tapos get a pair of bw 605s when I get there. Since BW speakers are acctually cheaper there than is here in canada... dahil here in vancouver, only 2 stores carry b&w..

But really want those Connoisuer 9s eh. Energy and Paradigm speaker prices here are almost 40 percent less compared when it's sold in the US. Being made in canada, ofcourse has something do with the price. LoL. Kaso.. each speaker weighs 62lbs. na. Not to mention the size of each box.

I've heard BW 604 speakers , which is the same price range as connoiseurs 9s (masmahal pa nga)... and frankly.. the connoiseur 9s got a deeper freq range.. midrange to high freq range sounds almost the same. Plus you're helping local economy pa! lol.. Provided ofcourse.. sa showrooms ko lang na pakingan and not at home..

Which means.. either get BWs sa manila or ship my energy speakers thru door to door services. kung malake ang box.. baka mahal ang padala... lol.. let's see... baka i'll just get a pair of bookshelves from Energy's flagship series - the much acclaimed Veritas...
