That's a nice set you are eyeing for. although the onkyo 616 is capable of driving those speakers, i believe it won't be able to maximize the potential of that speaker set. you can look at the imagine series, they are easier to drive. try to look at the b4 and c4 whose almost the same size as the imagine mini but more affordable  :)

- thanks very much for the advise sir!

ay dapat magtanong din pala ako dito in addition sa Recommend a Speaker thread  ;D

question ko is, will the PSB B25 available right now sa Marketplace will be a good match for my HK134 Avr for Music?

My current subs are wharf SW150.

or will the Alpha B1s can suffice?

Any links to opinions and reviews may do I guess.

TIA po.

Both are nice. If your ears are sensitive to to 14khz above, I believe the B25 being in the Image line has a more extended frequency range. When my friend auditioned my T6 vs B1, he says the T6 has a better ambiance on 20khz plus the difference in sibilance is noticeable --- incredible ears  ;D

The B25 is soundly better than the B1, imho. I've had both years ago.

Both carry the same characteristics and are wonderfully flat in response. The B25 plays lower and louder however, and seems to exhibit cleaner decay characteristics. The B1 feels most comfortable at moderate playback levels, as the midrange gets muddled up as you turn up the knob. The B1 could be great when high-passed and integrated with a sub, but the B25 is just the better and more flexible option.

The B25 pair is among the best value speakers I've owned. It had a certain honesty to it (little coloration), and a low price. The main downsides being that it lacks the dynamic capability of higher end speakers (or newer designs at the same price point), and that it does not layer images nearly as well as some other options.

Got the Alpha muna. Ayus naman yung Audition ko bringing my own CDs.

1. Paglisan (CD Mix) - Color It Red
2. Rusty Cage - Soundgarden
3. This Love - Pantera
4. Like You - Bowow feat. Ciara
5. Almost Like Being In Love - Nat King Cole

What sold me was the Synths and Guitars. Lalo na paguwi ko with the Ole' Beatles songs. ;D

Tsaka na Upgrade. *di ko na low ball esteh natawaran  :D to 10K yung nagbebenta ng B25 sa marketplace eh.

^_^

Maganda pala Rosewood finish. I like...

This lazy afternoon, I took time to listen to the Synchrony Two and I was blown away by the realism on these speakers. When I was in college, I was a member of the campus ministry so I get to stay next to choir and listen to them sing and sometimes have their jamming sessions. When I listened to these speakers, it sounded earily familiar. It's like I'm in the same room as the band. The instruments sounded very natural, the singer envelopes you with it's presence. The mistakes or mistiming of the guitar player were very audible. It's very transparent and can be revealing. It sounded really awesome! How I wish I can afford these  :-[ Gears connected were NAD separates C275Bee + C165BEE and the C565BEE cdp. Speaker wires were Van Del Hul.

naku brader, kahit magbenta ako ng kidney kulang pa rin pambili nitong synchrony  ;D I just saw the synchrony two page from the psb website and it was tagged as natural musicality:
http://www.psbspeakers.com/products/synchrony/Synchrony-Two
now that's a tagline that is true as advertised  ;)

Try the Imagine Bs. Cheaper than the Synchrony line but I like them better. Ang sexy pa ng dating. I can't let go of my Imagines kahit na Im currently using Dyns Audience 72SE. Iba pa rin resolution and clarity ng PSB Imagines. In fact, I like the Imagine Bs better than the Tower version when Rex and I compared them.

That's really interesting. Yes, that's the next set of psb speakers I have to audition. I'm expecting the Imagine B's will impress me the same way the Imagine T's and Minis have.

Hi guys,

Can the image T6 be driven to its potential by the NAD T748 or the Yamaha 771? Now looking at floorstanders as the BS will need stands anyway. Other suggestions?

Also looking at the Zensor 5 (fronts) - Zensor 1s (rear) and vokal + Denon 1912 combo. Your thoughts?

Will audition some time early September.

Thanks.

Yes, these AVRs could drive the T6. The RX-V771 is more feature-laden with equalization, auto-setup and video processing, while the T748 is a lot simpler (your money goes to audio credentials).

Rex and I did an A-B comparison of the Imagine Bs and Ts. The Ts can obviuosly go lower but we ilked the Bs more. If you live in the south, I can let you hear the Bs in my place.

Yes the T6 can be powered well by the Yamaha 771. This exact combination is readily available in What Hifi. What I like about the 771 is the preouts so if ever you feel that you want to feed your T6s more power, you can add a power amp.

Dalis are interesting, still have to audition them. Price level wise, I think you have to look at Ikon 5s instead of Zensors to compare against the T6.

Bigger sounding ang Synchrony, as it's voiced for bigger rooms. Very refined but can sound chesty and boomy pag malapit sa room boundaries ang speaker or listening position. Imagine is often better for smaller spaces imo, unless i-EQ mo yung Synchrony. Iba din ng konti character nila, medyo mas forward ang Imagine. Compare mo na lang kung ano mas type mo.
